Holy buckets...

Ok, so I got up like 20 minutes ago. We have this air purifier that we leave on, and it has a little blue light that tells you it's on. It's pretty bright. So, I got up, walked down the stairs, and start coming into the kitchen/living room area where this air purifier is. Then I hear this sound. It's the exact same sound that plays when you see the ghosts on the Tower of Terror. So while that was playing I see the blue light, and I was like @*#$($#(@(#*@*##!!!!!! because the ghosts are blue on Tower of Terror, right? So I was like freaking out until I remembered it was the air purifier. But, I still can't figure out what that sound was. It sounds exactly the same as the sound on ToT. (and it's still playing)

So, anything like this ever happened to you?

Perhaps it's a malfunction in the air purifier?

I've had some really freaky sounds happen to me, but there's one time that really stands out. I think I was 15 at the time. I woke up in the middle of the night to a high-pitched squealing sound that was variating in pitch like an ambulance siren. I thought it was an ambulance, and it would pass. It didn't, so I looked outside expecting to see an ambulance sitting outside. Nope, nothing, but I did notice that the sound moved when I did! Now it was in the hallway outside my room. I went to look there, and the sound moved again. I started to get freaked out, so I got my twin brother up and we tried to figure out what the sound was. Finally we looked under my bed and there was a handheld game (Boggle, to be exact), squealing away. The batteries were low and we couldn't get it to stop squealing. So we had to find a screwdriver and take the batteries out to make it shut up. I'm still surprised my parents didn't wake up!

I'll hear music in my dead-silent home. My parents don't realize there's something going on.

I once heard a doorbell. And it wasn't the same sound as mine. It kept going off over and over for about 2 minutes. My paren't didn't say anything.

I hate it when my house makes noises. It's half the reason I listen to my iPod right before I go to sleep.
