Like many people responding to this thread, we really enjoyed H&V when we ate there as part of the Fantasmic package. Although it tends to get mixed reviews, my speculation is that some of the disappointment with H&V comes from the lack of Disney theming compared to many of the other buffet restaurants. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the food and we would definitely choose it again for another Fantasmic package.

OK, I think we'll go for it. If theming is whats making people less than thrilled with it, that's fine with us. We don't usually do table service restaurants. We just don't feel like waiting in the fantasmic line. I'd like to have lunch at sci-fi(we've never been there and I don't know if the girls will let me get away with not eating at pizza planet) so that will be enough theming. As long as DH sees food, that's all the theming he needs. We like TGI Friday's, so we should be ok. Thanks for the help all.

I would definatlly recomend doing one of the Fantasmic dining specials so you can get there reserved seats, especially if you are going during the busy season.

As for H&I. I equate it to The Crystal Palace w/o the characters.

We've only done breakfast at Crystal Palace, but we like it. As long as the food is good(dosen't have to be great) then we're ok with it. The main point is reserved seats, food is just the bonus

Keep trying on the PS's-they open up all the time- watch the boards because some wonderful person posted that they'd just opened up a bunch of ressie times during the week I was there and I got a PERFECT time. So don't give up!

I'm trying to make PS reservations there for our trip in July and they have nothing open

I cancelled a July 1, 4:20, fantasmic H&V ADR this morning and made one for a later time. Keep trying, something will probably come open.

not just for the Fantasmic PKG but for the buffet itself... I love the penne with alfredo sauce with seafood.....delicious and the salmon was delicious......We, didn't realize that we could not use the DDE for our PKG so we gave it to our waiter and it was used .......we saved I think 16 dollars ...

When you make your AR don't forget to tell them it is your DH birthday and get him the birthday button when entering the park.

We did H&V with the Fantasmic package in Feb.05, it was very good. I am a picky eater and had no trouble finding food I would like and neither did my 4 y/o DD. We would eat here again!

I even had some stuff from the "kids buffet." DBF loved their mac and cheese!

We have done it 3 times for Fantasmic!
I love it there.. good price for a buffet too!!


My sis thinks its (16) OK but I think it's pretty good.

We did the H & V Fantasmic pkg Nov 2004 and really enjoyed it. SO much that we plan to do it again this Nov.
