Any opinions on this?? As far as the pricing and what you get? Is it worth it? Not doing the character part...was looking for TS dining options for this upcoming weekend and it was slim pickings!! This was available and because I have a very picky 13 yo, I thought it might be a good choice. Now I am not sure I want to spend that much money. Any feedback??

I saw sooooo many negative reviews of H&V dinner, but it was our only Fantasmic package option, so we took it.

Honestly, we all loved it -- I think it was one of my DH's favorite meals and the kids ate really well, too. Everything was good, hot, and there was plenty of it. Service was good. Nothing to complain about at all.

Maybe it's just like every other place, it seems to be luck of the draw...because we really loved this place, it was one of the best meals we ate, we came away all 5 of us stuffed and happy, this was a big thumbs up from us.

Both occasions we had a rude hostess, terrible service (took over 20 minutes to get our drinks), filthy table/floor/restroom and mediocre food at best, and most of it not even mediocre (and that is when they had food on the buffet--took forever to replenish empty slots). I've had better high school cafeteria food. Even our oldest son who is not picky at all and will eat anything hated it.

The first time was in 2000 and the last time was in 2004 or 2005.

However, I tell people they should try it themselves as everyone has different tastes, experiences, expectations, etc. and what one doesn't like, someone else might. We tried WCC because of the rave reviews it gets and we hated it (almost as much as H&V), but glad we gave it a try. We love Mama Melrose and others on here hate it. So it really does come down to personal taste, etc.

I've eaten there about 4 times (DS was very picky when he was younger, and it was easier to find something he would eat at a buffet)..I didn't care for the food at all (any of the times-last time was 2 years ago)..I won't go back. I remember walking out of there after dinner thinking to myself "YUCK!"

This is how our experiences have been with this place too. We definately won't be going back.

We ate there this summer and are eating there again for our NYE trip at the end of the month. My DH and I loved it! With a 2 yo DD, we eat at buffets down there all the time, and I've gotta tell you, besides Boma, this is the best buffet down there! We've recently ate at CP and CM's and were disappointed. This was good food at a decent price. It was like $20-$30 less than CP and CM's.

This was our experience too. This is a poorly managed establishment that goes into melt down when they get more than a handful of diners. Unattentive service, dirty floors around table and even in the serving line areas. Food residue throughout the serving food areas reflecting a lack of attentive service to maintain the serving lines and replinish food offering when depleted. Maybe the Fantasmic Package helps keeps this place stay a float...along with new TS diners using one of the dining plans, because it is hard to see it making it on its own merit.

We just ate here last week, and have done so before. The only reason I get it is because of the fantasmic pkg. The desserts were horrible, except for the ice cream. The peel and eat shrimp was o.k.The only things that I liked were the pineapple and watercress salad and the ginger chicken. I certainly wouldnt do it just for a meal only because of the pkg. and only if there is 1 fantasmic showing that night.

We ate there last week and loved it. We also ate the last year and loved it. It's the only place where my kids leave stuffed and happy (along with my husband )

We were there on Sunday, Dec. 6th. I too was very hesitant about this as we did dinner (no characters) and had heard horrible things about it but I wanted to form my own opinion.

Was it the best I had ever eaten? No. But was it the worst? No.

As a PP had said the desserts were lacking but we all found something we liked to eat and left full.

DD claimed it was the best children's buffet by far. She liked the roast chicken choice instead of just nuggets. DP loved the broccoli ginger slaw. I preferred the garlic parmesan mashed potatoes and sliced beef.

Would we do it again? Probably. But would I go out of my way to go here if I had other choices? Probably not.

Another couple who didn't mind H&V either. We ate there April 08 on our F! package and we found the restaurant to be clean and our server was lovely.

There was plenty choice of food and all we were asked was to use a clean plate if heading back for a different serving.

We're eating there again next May on our F! package and are quite looking forward to it. I think as others have said, there's always people who love things at Disney and then others aren't keen.

I suppose it's one of those things you'd have to try for yourselves and then make a judgement

I've eaten there several times, and liked it just fine. I have ADR's there on NYE this year, and anticipate another nice meal - I've never noticed things being messy, or service being bad, and I'm usually pretty picky about stuff like that, having been a server for many years.

DH and I like it a lot! It's always our first choice for the Fantasmic Package and we ate there this past Monday. The salads are excellent, and we both enjoy peel and eat shrimp and I am always happy they still have the New Zealand mussels.

What I especially enjoyed this week was the carved roast turkey, it was tender and very nicely seasoned. I forget what DH had.

For dessert, we like the no sugar added berry cobbler...I don't even put the vanilla sauce on it, DH does! There are other goodies to pick from and DH takes them, but I'm happy with the cobbler.

We had a great server, and we were offered "Drinks to go" which I think is a nice touch.

What I consider inadequate is the bathroom facilities.
