We originally had reservations for 1:30 on Thursday, but a change in plans on Tuesday resulted in everyone wanting to do Universal on Thursday if it was possible to change the H&V reservations. They didn't have any lunch ones available for Friday, but they had several breakfast ones, so we switched to breakfast at 8:40.

We got to the front of the park about 8:35, checked in by the gate so we could get early admission into the park and then walked up to the host stand at the restaurant. They told us to sit on a bench for a few minutes, but we were called before everyone had even sat down.

There was Playhouse Disney music playing when we walked in. and Brynn was handed a Little Einsteins coloring sheet. The restaurant is sort of divided into two sections so there were two characters in each section at a time. Leo was with Goliath and June was with JoJo. The characters had a route to make sure everyone was seen, and then they would switch sections at the same time, so each side always had 2. We seemed to be at the end of our side's rotation, so I was afraid that if the characters got behind with another table, we would get missed, but that never happened. In fact, I think we got some extra time with a few characters that were waiting to switch.

About every 15 minutes or so two people would come out with headset mics and the characters would come up to the front to dance to a few songs. We happened to be with June when it was time, so June took Brynn by the hand and walked her up front to dance with her. We were with Goliath when it happened too, so Brynn got to walk with both of them. Everyone went up to dance whether they were with a character or not, but Brynn felt so special getting to walk with June.

The dancing was great, they even did Cha-Cha lines. It was our first character meal, so I don't know if they do this type of thing at other meals, but we really enjoyed it! Even with the breaks to dance, we got plenty of attention from the characters and even got to see June twice. Both June and Leo even patted with Brynn and this morning when we watched Little Einsteins she was so excited she yelled "Oh my Gosh! I patted with June and Leo earlier!"

The food was fine. I only ate fruit, cottage cheese, a small serving of hashbrown casserole and one mickey waffle with strawberry topping. The hashbrown casserole was really good. Ty said the sausage gravy was good, but the biscuits were kind of tough. It certainly wasn't the best food we ate on vacation, but it wasn't bad either. I would do it again just for the great interaction.

ETA: The only problem with the food was that there was so much going on, Brynn wouldn't eat. In the future I would make sure I brought a snack, because 30 minutes after breakfast she said she was hungry.

Now, some pictures:

Ok.. just two more pictures, I promise:

Brynn was scared of JoJo at first, so she hugged Ty and my dad to show Brynn that she was nice:

And this one cracks me up because Leo's head is so enormous. When he leaned forward, it got all cut off in the frame.
