We have 6:50 pm ADR at Hollywood and Vine. After reading several reviews re: it not being good at all, help me decide if I should to switch to Cape May at 5:45. We did Hollywood and Vine last time, but have never been to Cape May. How long does it take to get there by boat?? We would be returning to DHS for Fantasmic at 8:30 and EMH also. Thanks!!

We liked H&V but we have breakfast.

do you have the Fantasmic dinner package with Hollywood & Vine? We found that package deal to be very handy. And we did Hollywood & Vine in May 2008--we liked it just fine. Hot foods hot, cold foods cold & lots of variety. Great dessert station. Service was good. I know some people slam them, but honestly, we found them better than most non-Disney buffet chains (like Old Country Buffet or Golden Corral, if you're familiar with those.) I would put them on par with most smaller casino buffets.

We were just at Cape May a week ago-I'd say the food at Cape May is about the same quality wise as Hollywood & Vine (we like it too), but we found the lines were worse there--H & V has a much better "flow" on their buffet line set-up. Can't help you on the transportation time--you might post that question on the transportation board.

I have to totally agree with the lack of flow for the Cape May buffet at dinner. That was just the weirdest set up. The food was okay. Nothing awesome. Their breakfast is better.
I didn't hate H&V when we were there in 2006. The food was decent. But I can't give you an up-to-date opinion.

I can tell you it took about 20 minutes on the boat to get from the Cape May breakfast to Hollywood Studios. It stopped at the Swan & Dolphin first. That time may change depending upon how many people need to load & unload.

We love Cape May Cafe clam bake, however I have to agree there is not enough room around the buffet area. Ever since my sister introduced us to the clam bake we have done it every year. We also enjoy H&V, we have never had any issues there. Than again we enjoy buffets, I enjoy getting a variety of foods and letting my kids eat things other than the same food on the kids menus.

H&V in one word: nasty

or this word: gross

or this word: BLECH!!!!!!!

sorry....I just really was soooooo disappointed by this place. I haven't done Cape May but I cannot imagine EVER stepping foot into H&V again unless it is to eat the spoon cornbread and mac n cheese only. Better yet, give me the recipe for the spoon cornbread (I can get good mac n cheese elsewhere) and I'll make it myself!!!!

go to Cape May and tell us how it was.
