FANTASTIC!

After reading a fair share of bad reviews, I was very hesitant to try this Buffet. But, Handy and Oso are favorites of our five and two year old, so when we heard they would be taking over for JoJo and Goliath we decided to give this buffet a try.

The character interaction was wonderful, and every 15 minutes or so the kids could go to the center of the restaurant and dance and sing to some of their favorite Disney Channel songs. They had so much fun, and we were close by so we could eat our food while the kids were entertained (I know this alone makes a meal worthwhile, but the fact that we loved the food we had time to eat, was what made this meal a stand out!)

Chicken with peppers and onions in a sweet and sour sauce, pasta primavera in an asiago cheese sauce, turkey &provolone on a bagette w/basil and pesto aiolli, mixed roasted vegetables & ratatouille were only a few of the delicious offerings found on the buffet. They were all hot and plentiful and the three other adults in my party all agreed that this was one of the best meals we had on the entire trip.

Hopefully if someone in your travelling party is a fan of the characters appearing here (or a fan of really good food) you'll give Hollywood and Vine a try.

Glad to hear that you liked it! It was also one of our favorite buffets, just different food than all of the other offerings. There was some kind of chicken in a white asiago sauce (I think) that my dh got about 5 plates of. The dessert bar was the best of any buffet and the salads were fresh and yummy!

Also, I liked how the restaurant was layed out compared to say, Tusker House. There really didn't seem to be a bad table in the place, everything was close to the buffet and the characters.

Lastly, the character interaction was the best anywhere, to the point of me thinking, "jeez guys, we need to eat out lunch!" I think they all came around twice and then the kids had the chance to dance with them in the front area.

I have no idea why this gets bad reviews, I mean it wasn't gourmet or anything, but it was delicious and fresh and different.

Two thumbs WAY up from our family!!

It's so nice to hear good reviews of H & V! We're doing an early Fantasmic! dinner at H & V, and I was getting really worried, after reading so many bad reviews on this board. A couple of other people I know that are not from this board did say they enjoyed it a lot too. One mentioned the salmon was really good. It sounds like we should be OK. :)

WOW I will say this is the FIRST good review on H&V. I take that as a good sign that they are finally improving! Thanks for taking the time!

This is so good to hear. We don't go expecting 5-star dining at WDW (unless we're going to Cali Grill or the like) so I try not to listen to the negative reviews. I did have doubts because there were so many but we're eating here anyway. This is the first trip for DS4 & he loves the characters here. As I see it, this is a one time trip here because the next time we come, he probably won't be into Manny & Oso, so this makes it worth the try for us.

I was so disappointed in my dinner at Hollywood and Vine on my first trip to Disney that I vowed never to return. However, my four year old really wanted to see Leo, June, Manny, and Oso, so I caved and booked a lunch last February. I was glad I did. The food was fresh and I fell in love with the asiago chicken breast. The character interaction was also great.

Im so glad to hear something positive about Hollywood and Vine. Even after bad reviews I left it booked for lunch and the characters for my 2 yr old grandson! Thank you so much for the review!

Oh good!! This makes me feel so much better about planning a Fantasmic Package for lunch at H&V. I was nervous but know my LO will love Manny & Oso! Thanks for the review! :lovestruc

My family and I have eaten here every trip. I never have understood all the bad reviews because my family thinks it's great! Plenty of variety for the adults and kids. The corn spoon bread is sooo good! Excited about Oso and Handy Manny this year! Can't wait until lunch next week!!
