I just booked Hollywood and Vine at 8am on March 7th. My kids get up super early, so that shouldn't be a problem. They said to allow an hour and a half to get there, is that right? We'll be coming from ASMu.. I don't want to miss our reservation, but an hour and a half seems like a lot that early in the morning.

Also.. does it seem likely that we'll be done in time to be able to be in position to get FPs right when the park opens?

We're not going there for the food, but for the characters.. my kids probably won't eat that much.

Thanks!

It's a self serve buffet so it doesn't take long to get your food. We found that we got in and out fairly quickly. They sing and dance also. You can skip that part. We found that it usually took us between 45 min- 1 hour to eat and see the characters. We never need 1 1/2 hours to get to a restaurant. They say that to be safe. First thing in the morning, buses run quite frequently to the parks. Some times during the day, you do need the full time to get somewhere. I say, that an hour would be safe.

After you check in to the Resort go to the Lobby Concierge (Guest Services) and ask about the "Breakfast Buses". They will tell you what time you should be at the bus stop to make the reservation.

When you get to DHs, after going through Security the Breakfast turnstile will be very close to the left end. Your name will be checked against a list and then you will be let in.

If you finish breakfast before rope drop, you will have to stay near the restaurant entrace until the actual rope drop, and then you will see people to slow you down and direct you to the group heading to TSM.
