:wave2:Looking for opinions! I'm Trying to decide if my family should go or skip Hollywood Studios in May 2017. Still worth going with so much closed? Or else we might add waterpark instead :beach: Thoughts?

:confused3 Depends on what your family likes to do there, I guess. We can still fill a day there. But then we usually go back to the resort for a couple of hours in the afternoon. There's nothing that has closed that we usually spent time on, except Animation Academy.

I think there's enough to do to make a day of it. If you have hopper passes, you could always go to another park if you finish early.

If you are interested in star wars there is definitely enough to do in a day

We love it (Me, DH, DD6)

We plan to make it our first park from now on. We had such a good time in December. We went from open to close and still didn't do everything.

I think it just depends on you. We're big Star Wars fans, and with TSMM open still, we didn't really lose much. Sci-Fi is a must-do for us every trip. We like Hollywood Studios because for us, it isn't the type of park where we have to be on the move constantly. We can take a little bit more time to relax and do things and wait in some longer lines if need be.

I never suggest folks skip a park. IMO, there is still plenty to occupy time in DHS< and if you have hoppers, that would seal the deal for me. The fireworks are considered to be some of the best in WDW, so that alone would draw me in.

Yes for Star Wars fans.
Yes if you have hoppers.
Yes if it means paying the difference between a 4/5 or 5/6 day pass.

No if you are paying full price for a ticket.

For us, DHS is a day-plus park. We spent a day and a half there and still missed the B&tB show and Indy show.

I'd say yes. Plenty to do there and if you want to do it "ALL" .. you can't even fit it into a day.

There really isn't that much "closed" in the park. It is just mainly that its walking areas have been chopped in half (which make it feel more crowded).

The only major attractions that are closed are the Lights Motor Action show (which only showed 2-3 times a day anyway) and the BackLot tour (which was a shell of its former self for a decade). The rest that closed was just "walking" space ..

We're spending 2 half days there on our next trip, and I'm not it's biggest fan.

I was debating this too for our May trip.
Decided to do a half day.
DS will be too short for ToT which sucks but my main motivation is I want him to meet Jake while that is still appealing to him. I think he'll be into some of the other shows and Star Wars stuff.
My plan is probably to come in afternoon and stay for Fantasmic - he's obsessed with dragons!
