Can't decide if we should hit Hollywood Studios on the 3rd or 5th of May, the other day we will be going to Sea World. We have unlimited 14 day to Sea World so not concerned if it is busy cause we can go back another day, but Hollywood Studios we only have one day for there.

But there is also EMH on the 4th.
Is it am or pm? If the EMH on the 4th is pm, I would definitely go with the 3rd. The day after an am emh is less busy than the day after a pm EMH.

Also, the day between 2 days with EMH is usually slower than any other day of the week.

Or you could take a look at the crowd calendar at easywdw.com and see what Josh has to say.

But, having a good touring plan will make much more of a difference than which day you pick..

Could you make FPs on both days and then leave the decision open to what you feel like doing at the time?

Maybe I'm in the minority, but there's so little to do in DHS, I can't imagine it would be hard to get it done, even on a busy day. Now, if you're wanting to ride the major rides over and over, there may be a difference.

I would also check the recommendations on easywdw.com if you need a tie-breaker now.

I have 5 days in the parks, and have FP lined up for each day and can't set up more. EMH AM on the 2nd, EMH PM on the 4th. 10PM closing on the 3rd and 8:30 PM closing on the 5th. My thoughts the more I look are on going to HS on the 5th as i think the wait times and crowds will be similar on the two days. I will update the thread afterward to let people know what happens.

I know park hours are currently posted for HS closing at 10:00 on the 3rd. However, I'm almost positive that HS will be closing earlier on the 3rd for a separate ticket event. (I have tickets for the private Celebration Party for the All Star cheerleading Summit.). If I remember correctly, the party starts at 9:00. They clear the park first, then allow ticketed guests back in (at least that's how they did it last year).

is the cheeleading event multiple days

I like easywdw.com for recommendations on touring. It has HS listed as the "most recommended" park on the 3rd, and the 2nd most (or "highly recommended") on the 5th. But it also says for both days that "what you do is more important than arriving on the 'right' day."

Here's a link to easywdw's touring philosophy recommendations for HS. Have a magical trip!

The HS event is the night of May 3rd only. However athletes will start to arrive as early as Wednesday, a large number of teams compete on Friday for the chance to compete on Saturday. All teams then compete on Saturday with about half the teams competing on Sunday. Most gyms will tell athletes they can not travel home until at least Monday because you do not whether or not you will earn the right to compete on Sunday until sometime on Saturday. All competition is held at ESPN WWoS. There are some 500 teams competing on Saturday.
Also important to note is that All Star cheerleading Worlds take place the weekend before.
