I have a question regarding the fantasmic show. It says the park closes at 830pm but the show starts at 9pm? How does this work?
we are also doing that dinner thing at brown derby at 5:50pm......
thanks
Jay

The Fantasmic Dining Package voucher is only for the first Fant of the night if there is more than one Fant scheduled.

The after-closing Fant is a very common occurrence when there is one or more Fants scheduled for the evening.

there is only one by the looks for the day calendar. I just wasn't sure on how that worked?
the park closes but that still runs?

Yes. Most guests do one last ride before the park closes and then head to the show. Because you will have reserved seats in the best section of the amphitheater, plan to get there between 15-30 minutes before Fant begins. They do let Standby people fill in empty seats a few minutes before Fant begins.

to be honest i'm confused as to what you are confused about.
if the park closes at 8:30pm and the show is at 9pm then thats how it works.
you go watch the show and then you leave.

I don't think it is difficult at all to see why a newbie or infrequent visitor would wonder about a show time that begins half an hour after the park is supposed to close. It is an idiosyncrasy that I have only seen at a Disney park.

OP, as the others have said, this happens frequently with F. Just be in your seats around 8:30 and you'll be fine.

really because i've seen it at a number of theme parks.
the lines for the rides are cut off at closing and then 10-15 minutes later usually the nighttime show starts.

i guess i just feel like people would go with the flow and not worry about the time gap cuz theme parks know what they are doing.

I was only worried that this was a mistake or that at 830pm they closed the park down and the show would not go on. Most things that I know that close at 830 means that they are are CLOSED at 830 and start kicking people out.

Thank you for your help. We will make sure we will be in our seats for that time.
This is my 2nd time going to Disney and the last time I never had a child so this time it is for him since it is going to be his 5th birthday gift from us.

attractions close at closing time.
but you can still be in the park.
heck the gift shops are open for quite a while after park closing.
disney does not force you out at the strike of 8:30pm.
