Hollywood Studios to Downtown Disney

Need some suggestions for best Disney transportation route from Hollywood Studios to Downtown Disney. Will be celebrating DS birthday his choice to go to HS that day but we'd like to take him to T-Rex at DTD for dinner that night. Thanks!

PS Anyone happen to know what the "What will you celebrate" promotion offers when you have your tix already? I think it's a gift card...can it be used at DTD?

Persoanlly I would walk (or you can take the Friendship boat if you prefer) to the Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club and then take the DTD bus from there.

Another option is taking the bus to Saratoga Springs and when you arrive there get off at the Congress Park bus location and use the walkway to Downtown Disney.
