hi all,

We are visiting the world in May. Our plan for HS is to go directly to line up to register for Jedi training for 4 kids, then head to star tours as our first ride. No FP as we are hoping for small lines. Was there this past May, had a FP for it but really felt it was unnecessary as it didn't seem to busy if a ride. My husband and friend plan to go straight to rocking roller coaster while I'm registering kids, then meet us at star tours. No FP for them either. Here are my qs:

1) is this reasonable? Will they have time to meet us? How long does it take to register for Jedi ?
2) with all the hype of Star Wars and the new additions to HS, is the Star Wars ride more popular/busier now then my last visit?

Obviously I know ppl can't tell me exactly how this will play out. Just looking for advice from others who may have tried similar scenarios as this lately. Thanks. :)

1a) Yes
1b) Yes
1c) 5-15 min., depending on everything.
2) Yes

Is it busy enough to warrant a FP ?

Unlikely.
But, you never know.
Nobody can predict exactly what a massive group of guests will or won't do on any given day.

This - we were a solid 25 families deep in the Jedi line this morning (park opened at 8:30 although 9 was posted). We were out of the line by 8:45, but those behind us had a decent wait. Then you add the fact that not all the rides start that early and before you know it at 8:55 the wait at TSMM was already 40 min and climbing. The same was at RnR Coaster. Plus I saw the coaster be closed like 3 times today. That has been happening a lot. I fast passed it for 9:20 today and that was perfect (was just hoping it would still be working). We just killed time waiting for Darth Vader to arrive at 9 am. TSMM hit 155 min wait today and I saw the Coaster hit 110 due to the closures.

My wife told me later that day, 2 pairs of siblings didn't show for our group which meant that 4 alternates had their day completely made. So even if you don't have a guaranteed time, try to be an early alternate.
