Chocolate or Strawberry?

Right. This is a uniquely personal decision. Do you like Star Wars? Would you rather see fireworks and lasers, or a "show" that has water effects, characters, etc...?

So I LOVE Fantasmic, but I've never seen the Star Wars show. So I feel like I should but I'm worried I won't like it...

If you've seen Fantasmic then I'd definitely recommend the Star wars show. It's tied with HEA for my favorite night time show

I've done both, multiple times and I said Fantasmic. Not because it's a better show but because I can actually see it. I'm height challenged and both times I've attempted to see the Star Wars show, very tall, very big men have barged in front of me at the last minute, since it's largely projection based, I saw next to nothing. Same goes for the show at MK by the way. I've attempted it twice, both times got there early, got a great spot. One time a father felt it was necessary to put his kid on the shoulder right when the show started and dance around with him, which meant no matter what direction I tried to shift he blocked me. The other time, again I got there early and was actually at the front of a roped off area where no one was supposed to be able to stand but at the last minute people stopped there and stood and it was so crowded there was no way the CMs could get to them and get them to move. The only way I could see either is if I paid for the dessert party and since I don't eat many sweets it would really be a waste of money for me.

We do both. We sit toward the back at Fantasmic and as soon as the show ends we hurry over to Star Wars.

That can work if the timing between the shows works that way.
But, there are multiple show timings that vary frequently.
So, the plan for racing from one show to another is only applicable to those nights
when the timing fits that situation.
There are evenings when both shows can be seen very easily, without the need to "rush"
between them.

Definitely Star Wars nighttime show!!! I can't wait to this this again during our next trip in December!

I haven't seen any Star Wars movies since I was a kid so I don't remember anything about them. I still preferred the Star Wars show. It was amazing, and the crowd reaction was awesome! Fantasmic! bores me.

Personally, I love Fantasmic! So I chose that one. It is uniquely different than the other night time spectaculars.

It appears by the OP's ticker that they'll be here in 10 Days. Fantasmic will be at 8:30 and SWaGS is at 9:15. It's doable to see both, but they'll have to settle for whatever's left for spots when they arrive for the SWaGS show. It's not that busy right now so it might work out just fine.

I love Fantasmic, and think it's a complete experience with seating and all.

Having said that, haven't seen SW fireworks show, so will do that on our next trip

I wouldn't be "worried". We've tried many things at Disney that we didn't end up loving, but if we didn't try them we'd still be sitting here wondering if we WOULD like them :) Having said that I voted for Fantasmic! My family are not SW fans but we did watch SWaGS once, just to see what it was like. Having not seen any of the movies despite being......older lol, I didn't enjoy it at all. I liked the final fireworks but there weren't enough during the show to keep my interest. My older DS has seen some of the movies, I wouldn't call him a "fan", and he didn't really like it. But it's so hard to say without having actually seen it; I LOVED LOVED LOVED the SW fireworks they had prior to this, I thought those were some of the best fireworks I'd ever seen in any of the parks! Of course that show didn't rely on clips from the movies, either.

I like the idea of doing both since they're spread out a little, although as mentioned you won't get a prime spot for SW. We just saw Fantasmic! two weeks ago for the first time in about 3 years and we all remembered why we enjoy it so much :goodvibes
