Hollywood Studios - Is it worth it at this point?

Without the shows, it's definitely a 1 day or more park. No shows means everyone is in line for something. 😬

Ok. They mean the projection show that has a few fireworks. I was hoping for SWAGS or F!

To be fair, Frozen sing a long and Disney Jr Dance Party have been back for awhile. The Beauty and the Beast show will be back on August 15th. It’ll help a ton when Indiana Jones, Little Mermaid, and the character meet & greets are back.

It's my least favorite park. We enjoyed a few rides when we went in 2014, but last time most of those were gone But dd loves Toy Story, Rock n Roller coaster and. ToT. So we go and stand around for most of it. We're not into shows or thrill rides. And Star Wars is not our thing at all. Next time though we might send her on her own. Though I think the Mickey and Minnie ride sounds fun.

Hi. We have a trip to DisneyWorld for August 15 and I just noticed that at Hollywood Studios they still have closed the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Indian Jones Stunt, Beauty and the Beast, and Fantasmic - all things we have loved seeing in the past. Since we are not big Star Wars fans, is it worth it to skip Hollywood Studios this year? Is there any chance any of that stuff will reopen by mid August?
Those are all things that we might do under normal circumstances in addition to GE, MMRR, TOT, RNR, and TSMM and with a few lesser attractions thrown in, it's a pretty full day. Plus they have some decent dining and snack places throughout. It's good day at HS. Beautiful park, lovely at night!

I think this is the park I'm least enthused about for our trip next year. I look at MDE and at times it seems like practically every ride in the park has 1 hour+ wait times. I checked just after I typed that sentence and there are 6 rides with wait times over an hour, 3 of those are over 90 minutes.

I doubt very much we'll be rope-dropping, so that means it'll be 2 days in this park to do everything the kids want to do, and a lot of that time is going to be standing in line.

My pasty Irish skin won't cope well with standing exposed for 100 minutes in the summer sun in Florida waiting to get on SDD. :scared:

I'd recommend picking up a small uv blocking umbrella. we had two for our family of 4 and it made huge differences while in line in the sun.
