Hollywood Studios Cement Handprints Cut Up?

I’m on vacation without my laptop currently so I cannot figure out how to post a picture on mobile but I have a few. I was walking by the Hollywood courtyard in front of the Chinese Theatre in HS and I saw that a few of the slabs of concrete with celebrity handprints had been all cut up and desecrated by cement cutters (Samuel L Jackson, Carol Channing and David Copperfield). We asked the cast member standing by and she hadn’t any clue, but said it must’ve happened last night because they were fully normal yesterday. What happened? It’s so strange to me especially because some can’t be replaced. Most are in tact but a few were just cut into pieces. Really worrying. Hoping it’s an April Fools joke but I don’t think so. Ouch.

Oh no! That’s so sad..... I hope it was just a mistake with a few slabs. They really need to keep them as they are a part of history.........I agree with you.....some can’t be replaced. Audrey Hepburn comes to my mind first! I adore her and I thought that I read somewhere that the Disney World handprint was her only one. No Hollywood version......
