Giant Adventure: Jurassic World VelociCoaster opens at Universal

I enjoy both and totally different rides.
Velocicoaster gets the nod. So smooth, fast and there is no downtime on that coaster. Its always doing something or transitioning to the next section. No straight flat areas unless its an acceleration zone.

Rip Ride Rockit was down most of last Friday and Saturday due to winds; no effect on Velocicoaster. More concerning was my son didn't feel safe on his single Rip Ride Sunday morning; the seat was loose, and despite Express Pass and only getting one ride on it the entire weekend, he wasn't interested in riding it again.

We did both for the first time a few weeks ago. Velocicoaster was fun. Fast and smooth. RRR was just miserable. It wasn't that my head was bouncing around, so much as it felt like my brain was bouncing around inside my head. My two teenage kids said the same. No desire to ever ride it again.

I like RRR (Hulk is the one that bangs my head around), but Velocicoaster is far and away the better coaster. It’s just such a smooth and exhilarating ride.

agree. Have been on Hulk several times since the rebuild, and my head still bangs around too much. Riding twice is about all that I can handle. Which is too bad as its a really fun track. Have the same thing with Rock N Rollercoaster. But not on Everest, Hagrids, RRR or Velocicoaster

Velocicoaster wins for me. To be fair though, that would actually win no matter who the "vs." is against no matter what park for me.

I hadn't gotten to ride it my prior trip but went on RRR last fall again after awhile and did not really care for it. ?A few elements are fun but the forces were either nonexistent or extreme and the restraints were not comfortable at all. I have always felt the layout was weak with the constant break runs throughout it, feels like you do an element then brake over and over. Not that fun to me.
Velocicoaster on the other hand might be my new favorite coaster anywhere and one of, if not the best, rides at the resort.

I've only ridden on RRR once and I felt like I was being concussed because of my head bouncing around and hitting the plastic back of the seat. Moreover, a friend's daughter actually received a concussion on RRR. It is NOT a safe ride.
