It depends on the time of day, we were there a few weeks ago and saw the wait go up to 90 minutes. We went on it later in the afternoon and had a 30 min wait, it goes by pretty fast since it is a continuously moving line.
It depends on what time of day and if it's running regularly. December park crowds aren't usually too bad until after Christmas but I can see 60 minute waits if it's not running smoothly. Go there first thing in the morning and you shouldn't have a long wait.
We went Sunday, July 11th around 8:30pm -45 minutes posted (took about 40 min)
We planned on hitting it early Tues a.m. Got to the park around 9:00am and it was down and they were telling people to go do something else. We went back around 10 a.m. and they were just opening the line - we walked through until we were about 3 cars back (on the stairs) and it went down again. We then waited around 20 minutes til they got it back up.
I do have to say it was one of our favorite rides of the trip.
Whenver we went by it the wait was 40 - 90 minutes.
Are they EVER going to get this thing fixed. I went in December and it was down most of the time I was there...got to ride it once and the music stopped right at the drop. I was hoping they would have the bugs out by now.Going again in October. Would love to ride this working correctly.
Feedback from this afternoon and tonight, 7/22 - Ride was down late this afternoon. Went back after dinner at about 7:30, wait was around 30-40 minutes. The single rider line was shut down at first but was opened off and on. It was almost like the ride workers were playing games. After riding posted time was around 75 minutes. Worker in charge at the entrance was ruder than any employee than I have experienced. People had caught on to the closing and opening of the single rider line and were hanging around the entrance to wait and ride as singles. He was rudely telling people they were wasting their time and shouldn't wait. He finally opened the line and yelled after us "hope you have a good time because you are going to waste an hour waiting".
While waiting we noticed two groups come through the Express Line. One group had white slips of paper bordered in red and they were ushered on. The second group were young guys that seemed to be friends with the guys working on the ride.
Overall a fun ride but my daughters weren't sure it was worth putting up with the insults.
There is no early opening for US, only IOA. Here's a little tip for those of you waiting for people to come off of the ride. Instead of waiting at the bottom in the sweltering heat like the masses either go up the stairs that the people come out of the ride from or, even better, go where the pictures are sold and look all the way to the back left. You will see a door which opens to a short hallway leading to an elevator. Take the elevator up and wait in the child swap area. It's air conditioned, has water fountains and seats and you can see when your party gets on and off the ride.
I closely followed the line times for about six months. It is not the same length of wait regardless of the crowds. If the OP is going in the first half of december, the wait will not reach more than 40 minutes during the day. If they are going between Christmas and New Year's, the peak waits will probably be at least 90 minutes.

Thanks for this info.
I may be going to US in early Dec and would not arrive until 11 am, so I appreciate knowing I probably won't have to wait an hour or more.
We went the week FJ opened and RRR was anywhere betweem 20-50 min wait. When the ride broke down we ran over to the Mummy and when we came out it was opened again and we waited 20 min. I guess people thought it would be down longer. Have a great time in December!
