Help me decide please. We have reservations for Sci Fi, but thought we might switch to one of the 3 above and take advantage of the special seating for Fantsmic.

What do you think?

Hollywood Brown Derby
Mama Melrose
Hollywood & Vine

Thanks,

I have eaten at Mama Melrose 4 times and always had a very good meal. I haven't eaten at the others so I can't say anything about them.

Thanks,

I would go for Mama Melrose's prefer it over Hollywood and Vine.:)

We love Hollywood Brown Derby, did not care for H & V, and have not eaten at Mama Melrose.

We've had the Fantasmic Package each visit and were very happy with that choice. We ate at Mama Melrose once, and while it was good, we prefer the Hollywood Brown Derby.

I've eaten at all three and you can toss H&V out. It isn't all that good.

It really comes down to the other two and between those you have two very distinct experiences. One is a classic Italian restaurant. Sort of like a New York Italian cafe with red checkered table cloths, etc. The other is an upscale "swanky" place. A place where you'll order some sort of a martini. It is more expensive.

Both are good for what niche they are going for.

HBD is a signature so it can't really be compared to the other two. In my opinion the other two are not that great so I vote for HBD!

The Brown Derby is pricey, but we love it! H & V is ok for breakfast, but is really the pits for dinner. Mamma Melrose???... eh... It's ok half of the time, lol.

Been to all three... I'd pick Brown Derby for the fantasmic package - dined there twice in Dec. 2010 and the food was great. BUT, it is more expensive or 2 dining plan credits. If I wanted a less expensive dinner or to only use 1 credit, Mama Melrose is good... not great.. but good enough, went there Oct. 2009.

Hollywood and Vine for dinner --- a big NO, the food in 2008 was the quality of a very cheap budget buffet, lunch in 2009 was the same, and the current reviews sound like it didn't get any better. BUT, we did enjoy the character breakfast there in Dec. 2010.

On our Dec. 2010 trip, we really liked 50s Prime Time Cafe..... so we will have to dine there on our next trip. 50s PT is not a fantasmic package offering.... BUT, if I was only going to Hollywood Studios for 1 day, I'd probably go to 50s PT for lunch and just wait it in line for Fantasmic....

BUT, if I was going to be there during a very crowded time of year (which I won't), and only going to HS for 1 day.... I'd probably just do Brown Derby fantasmic package since the line for fantasmic could be long without the package... so I hear....
