Hollywood and Vine now character meal at dinner too??

I just called the WDW-DINE line to change an ADR to Hollywood and Vine for dinner and found out it is now according to the CM a character dinner!!! I knew it was now one at breakfast and lunch, but the CM double checked it and it is listed as a character dinner for September when we will be there. Had not seen any info on this before..thought I would share it and see if this is correct.....

I hope not, we are there is Sept, and although I like characters, as an adult couple this would not be our coup of tea.

What characters are supposed to be there at night? And I wonder when it starts? We're there the third week in August, and unless it's a VILLAIN character meal, we will not be excited.

I just called to check because it would mean we may change our plans BUT the CM I spoke with said word has been out that it may change to be a character meal at dinnertime also BUT he said that is just talk and until they see it as fact in the computer or until it becomes so... then it's not so...

Might have something to do with the Magical Beginnings program for preschoolers running in September.

Having never done a character meal before I have to ask, what's so bad about a character meal? Enlighten me please.

Nothing is wrong with character meals. Garden Grill in Epcot is one of my favorite restaurants in WDW. However, they tend to attract families with young children so some people avoid them. Also, many of them are buffets which turn some people off.

It is my understanding that Hollywood & Vine is now hosting "Little Einsteins" character meal. We have lunch ressies for our Aug. trip for DD 4. However, I was under the impression (could be mistaken) that characters were there for lunch and breakfast only. Could be wrong...please let us know what you find out.

little princess mom, you are right. Its a character meal with TLE and Jo JO from Playhouse disney, for B fast and lunch. The fantasmic package ( no characters) are for dinner. Hope this helps everyone!
