Would you recommend this place for lunch? If not is there anywhere else there that you could suggest? I always have a problem finding somewhere to eat while at HS! Thanks for any help, I am stumped on this one!

Does it have to be a TS lunch?

Consider a TS breakfast before RD (maybe at an Epcot-area resort; several options there) & take the boat to HS, then just a CS lunch at Starring Rolls.

Otherwise.........no. Unless you have Hoppers & want to go to Epcot for lunch.

If you are wanting a TS place then I would recommend Primetime 50's.

If you don't mind CS...we love Starring Rolls. The sandwiches are great and the cupcakes wonderful!

I think Hollywood and Vine is the only restaurant in all of Disney that I have read hands down the worst reviews from every single person! I'd try to get either Sci-Fi, Mama Melrose or 50s Prime Time.
Or if you want CS, go to Starring Rolls.

We've done lunch at Hollywood and Vine and liked it a lot. We booked it because our kids love the Little Einsteins and this was the only character meal that they were at. Our only issue was that the atmosphere is hectic and the tables are very close together. We were very happy with the food selection and for a buffet we thought the food was pretty good.

Hmm, looks like I have some reconsidering to do, thanks for the feedback! We aren't getting park hoppers, I had brain surgery in Dec. so I have to keep things as low key as is possible in the World! This would be the first time I do a TS for lunch and I thought a break in the afternoon would be nice but I don't want "bad" food. Thanks again, I appreciate the feedback!

I would highly recommend going taking the short boat ride from HS to Cape May's. Fantastic reviews, if you like seafood...

We went to Hollywood and Vine last year for lunch and it was by far our least favorite. Food was just o.k., and our kids didn't know the characters, and the theming (what theming?) was stark and cold feeling. Not recommended.

Totally understand your desire for a nice quiet break at lunch time. H&V is NOT the place to do that. I think you might want to check out Mama Melrose or 50s Prime Time if you want to stay in the park. If quiet and rest is as important as food, then I also think you could consider taking the boat over to the Boardwalk and try out Big River Grille or Beaches and Cream. Unfortunately Cape May is not open for lunch.

I have heard of Cape May but I don't know where that is located at? Thanks!

Thanks for that information b/c atomosphere is very important for my body to have time to "unwind" for a short while! I never thought of going to the Boardwalk, that sounds like a great idea and something we have never done! Thanks for that idea!

Cape May is at the Beach Club, but is only open for breakfast and dinner. Can't wait to try the crab legs when we go in Sept.!

H&V is one of two Disney restaurants you could NOT pay us to eat at again (bad service, bad food, dirty restaurant).

We have eaten at Mama Melrose and Sci Fi a number of times and never had a bad meal at either of them. We've not been to 50's Prime Time in twelve years approximately but are going back in September for a change of pace.

Maybe we can do Cape May for an early dinner? Are they on the dining plan or no?? I will definitely look into the 3 places mentioned here! Thank you all so much, that is why I just love coming on here

I really disliked H&V lunch however we really liked breakfast. At lunch our food was cold, blend and very not good.

Yes, Cape May is on the dining plan and it is very good. We've not been for two years, but are going back in September (especially for the crab legs).
