Can anyone tell me about the Hollywood and Vine character lunch? Jan. 1 we opted to do lunch there instead of Chef Mickey's to celebrate dd's birthday. Do the Staff do anything for a birthday like Chef Mickey's, decorating the table etc.? Dd had her heart set on Chef Mickey's, I couldn't get a ps but Hollywood and Vine I had my picks of times! Any thoughts on H&V would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hollywood & Vine is our favorite restaurant at MGM. My hubby & I always eat there & will be going there again for lunch next week!

The characters are always great & tend to visit us more than once. We have always gone right around 11:30 am as lunch is beginning & the restaurant isn't full yet, and the food is very hot & fresh. The dessert bar is the best part! I'm sure your kids will love it!

Sorry - we haven't celebrated any b-days there, so I don't have any info on what they may do for you. Maybe if you're able to contact the restaurant directly they would have that information. We didn't get nearly as much character interaction at Chef Mickey's as at H&V. JMHO. Hope this helps! :)

We had lunch at Hollywood and Vine on Monday and it was great! The food was awesome. I thought the character interaction was really good. I accidentally called Pluto, Goofy:o and he shook his finger at me. Then he extended his hand out to shake and snatched it back. Very cute. My 2-year-old daughter is afraid of the characters and most of them just wave, but Chip actualy took the time to sneak behind her so that we could get a picture with them together. Minnie and Goofy do a dance routine in the middle of the restaurant and some of the kids came up and danced with Minnie.

I highly recommend this meal! It was our favorite.:p

We ate lunch at H&V about 2 weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. DD (4 1/2) loved Minnie's dress. She says it was her favorite meal of the entire trip. She loved the kids buffet and dancing with Minnie and Goofy.

I thought a couple of dishes were great. I loved the mashed potatoes and the chopped tomato stuff they had to put on the bread. I don't know what it's called but it seemed to have some vinegar, onions, a little oil and maybe cheese. I went back for seconds for those things. The dessert bar was a lot of fun too. The rest of the food was fine. Everything was served hot and we had a lot of fun.
