Hollywood and Vine Breakfast

We have reservations for here at 8:15 am on a day where the park opens at 9:00 am. Has anyone ever used this as a strategy for getting to Slinky Dog ahead of the rope drop crowd?

It doesnt help you. It actually puts you behind the crowd. People will be let in early and will be held ahead of where you will be at H&V.

You won't get to anything ahead of rope drop. Crowds are held in a common area before rope drop and then the thundering herd* will race to whatever ride, and you hope you can get there without a hugely long wait. There's no strategy that circumvents that. (*Think Simba in the gorge!)

Not only will that reservation put you behind the crowds, that restaurant is on the wrong side of the "main street" at HS so you are essentially going in the wrong direction.

I absolutely agree... no ride is worth my daughter getting hurt by an inconsiderate "herd". My husband (att) already had that happen because of TSMM I dont need that happening to my 5 year old.
