My ADR window opens Friday, so I'm trying to finalize my schedule. On our HS day, I want to do Hollywood and Vine for breakfast, but I know the boys will want to do the Jedi Academy. Is this possible?
What's the best way to do this or the best time to get the ressie? If I get a ressie for 7:30, will this give us enough time to get in line for Jedi??

H&V starts ADRs at 8:00, not 7:30.

In the past, having a pre-opening ADR at H&V did not preclude you from getting into line for JTA. However, JTA is changing and without knowing what the future of the show and signups for it look like, it's impossible to know whether a pre-opening ADR would be a benefit, a detriment, or neutral. I'd book the ADR now (for 8:00) and see what happens with JTA when it reopens with the new format and decide then whether to drop the ADR.

As reported on other threads, JTA ends on October 4th. There has been no date set for the new Rebels-themed JTA show.

It only appears that a new JTA will begin before the new SW movie is released.

Oh bummer.. I didn't know this..

Sorry for the silly question - newbie here... I have an ADR at H&V (2 mornings, just in case I miss something here). If there is no line at rope drop for JTA sign up, how does the patrons of the H&V leave the breakfast for the sign up? Is there enough time? I never did this before and I am in panic because this is the first time my son is old enough to do this and it is a priority for us during our upcoming trip. Thank you so much!

I'm not really understanding your question. When the park opens, you leave the restaurant and go and sign up for JTA. We usually have an 8:00 or 8:05 ADR, and we're done eating in about a half an hour. We go wait outside the restaurant and talk to the CMs until park opening, when they allow us to leave and head to JTA. If you're not done with breakfast by the time the park opens, you'll have to watch to see when guests start walking by the restaurant...it will be obvious when the park has opened. Then you have one parent leave the restaurant with the kids, while the other parent waits back at your table. Take the kids to sign up for JTA, then go back to the restaurant and finish breakfast. The only way you won't be allowed to leave the vicinity of the restaurant is if the park isn't open yet.

Note, this advice is only good until JTA closes on October 4th.
