Hollister Co. Employees

That's EXACTLY what happened to me too. I went to walk up the stairs and my jeans totally ripped, I only had them for a few months too. I was so mad.

yea! Mine were the Khaki pants...they were my only school pants.
i got really mad. I had two pair and BOTH ripped.

I think that Hollister should have a live feed of HOLLISTER, California, but they won't because it's a lame town.

YES! News flash, people, Hollister is in the INLAND part of California. There are no beaches at all and in the area it's in, it gets hotter than hell there in the summer. The only things Hollister is sort of famous for are that store and their band review XD

matt has a degree in accounting, and in his business classes they used to talk about a&f/hollister a lot.

basically, their plan is that their targeted audience will buy their clothes no matter what, so they use the cheapest material/craftsmanship and the products fall apart quickly, but people continue to buy their products anyway.

its really crappy when you think about it that way.

that is completely and totally true, when i was younger i would pay $$$ for that stuff and pretty much EVERY top i ever bought from hollister/a&f would get tiny holes in it...but i HAD to have it cuz it was cool.

congrats on your job blair!

but i have to be totally honest, i HATE when/if i ever go into that store and they have some cheezy line they have to say like 'hey you should check out our jeans they are totally rad' or 'omg our sweaters are just the comfiest you should totally check them out'
i know they have to do that cuz i have friends that worked @ hollister but its SO irritating and it makes me want to leave the store immediately.

It doesn't surprise me...

Exactly! Because everyone wants to have the "cool" clothes, and if you don't have name brands like Hollister, A&F, and Aeropostale then you're not "cool".

My sister's boyfriend's little sister is VERY small for her age. She was born two months premature. She's a freshman but she looks like 11/12 (height/weight speaking). In middle school since she was soo little she couldn't fit in Aeropostale or American Eagle yet (before AE got the AE KIDS)

So she would get picked on alot! Just because she didn't wear clothes like that, because she was so small.

She'd like come home crying and begging her mom to take her to Aeropostale so she could find like an XXS.. just so she wouldn't get picked on every day.

It's was just shocking to hear that people would do that..

all they ever say at my hollister store is "haaaaay whatss upppp" in the most annoying tone.

I used to shop at Hollister (only a few things from there though), lots of AE, and a few things from A&F when I was in high school. I'm kind of disappointed that I spent so much at those places because it was the place to shop. I think out of those three AE has the best quality stuff. I always thought Aeropostale had the best quality for the price but I didn't shop there a ton. I used to love their hoodies and how soft they are. To be honest I don't look at any of the clothes in those stores anymore, I guess I kind of grew out of them.

Now I just buy what I like where I find it. Tonight I found the CUTEST dress at Walmart for $14. It's so soft and nice, I could pinch myself. I love finding a deal like that.

It's a rumor, but I was told that the management (at least at the stores around here) tell their employee's to be kind of stuck up. Like they smile, sometimes, but its almost like a smile that you are below them. AHAHA.

Let me know if that's true or not :)

Well the manager for the store is from Abercrombie in Florida I'll let you know what she says on my induction :)

it would be awesome to work at hollister.
they play good music there.
at least the ones around here do.
and it smells soooooo good.
i just go in there so i can smell like it.
lol.

They play the same music in every store all month haha I love the music they play so I'm pretty stoked.

haha I've never been so can't comment but I suppose if it's an inland town then it doesn't fit with the theme of Californian beach.

I don't really shop at Hollister anymore, it was like a phase I went through in middle school & freshman year. I'm more of a Charlotte Russe /Forever 21 girl. Hollister is just so dark & loud & it reeks of mixtures of different types of cologne & perfume. I walk out of there feeling blinded by the transition from darkness to light. lol

But hey, a job is a job, I would take it. hahah

It was hard getting the job 780 applied and they are only hiring under 100 so I was sooo happy I got it.

I personally love the way hollister smells. lol
but i got pants for school from there and both pairs ripped in the crotch to the point where it's not fixable.

I loled but I've never had a problem with the quality of the clothes I've bought but the girls stuff is thinner right?

I'm studying accountancy and business at my University :) I talk about Hollister allllll the time haha but I'm not meant to. as I said above I've never had a problem with quality I still have t-shirts and hoodies from 4 years ago.

Thanks Caitlin :) haha I'm not looking forward to being uber cheesy I have to admit

OMG that's horrible but I guess it's he same everywhere which is sad, you get picked on if you are different, I got picked on because I wore too much Hollister haha I just took it as jealousy?

Yea I noticed that but most companies now a days discriminate.

all they ever say at my hollister store is "haaaaay whatss upppp" in the most annoying tone.

Haha I think that makes them stand out

I have to disagree with you on quality but then again I'm buying the mens items I found A&F and Hollister to be the best quality, A&F is better quality than Hollister. Aeropostale I found their hoodies to be much thinner and not as comfortable and mine has a hole in it now. American Eagle shirts are paper thin I didn't buy much from those 2 shops but the stuff I did buy was rubbish tbh. Every item I bought from Hollister which was over 75 I was 100% satisfied with.

In the Hollister around here they're nice..
One guy spent ages looking for a shirt for me lol

lol, when i was in a&f in america last year, this guy spent ages looking for a t shirt for me!

they had some gorgeous jeans in the sale in hollister on saturday. im so peed with myself for not buying them xD
