Are there generally public discounts during the holidays season? I'm planning to go Dec-20-26 and wondered whether to book now or to wait.

Thanks!

The holidays are prime rate season so to answer your question - no

Usually there are no discounts for that time of year as it's the busiest time and is holiday season, but you never know...if bookings are down, Disney may offer something . If you are going regardless of whether or not you get a discount, I would book now so you get the resort you want ;). I booked a 40% off bounceback in January that was good through 12/24. I called the other day to change to a monorail resort (12/17-12/21) and all 3 of them were available with the discount......so rooms may not be filling up as usual :confused3. Good luck and happy planning :wizard:.

Hmmm what do you mean if bookings are down...?

Also, booking, phone or website is better?

If the resorts aren't filling up to a certain level, Disney may offer discounts to fill rooms. I've always booked by phone, but I think either way is fine.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have a question. I thought if you book via bounceback, if you change resorts after the initial booking, you lose the bounceback offer?

As long as you properly booked a BB while you were on property, you are allowed to change dates or resorts provided there is BB inventory available. I guess Disney realizes that booking a BB way ahead means that people don't have work/school/vacation schedules yet. If the BB was set in stone fewer people would book them since you never know what your schedule might be up to a year ahead.

You must make sure the CM you talk to realizes you are changing a BB reservation. They might connect you to that dept., I don't think they can all see BB inventory, or maybe don't know how to access it.
