I'm thinking of taking along a couple of my tea lights..oh, but then the room won't have that "Disney scent"...decisions, decisions.. :scratchin

Has anyone tried the candles they sell at Disney? Wondered about the quality.

I finally got my tart burner today. I had called about it being missing on the 19th.
And....IT WAS BROKEN!! :mad:
Needless to say they got a call from me and I also just finished an e-mail.
Seems if they forgot it to start with, they should have shipped faster.
And it was wrapped in a single sheet of small bubble wrap. I could hear it, before I even opened it :mad:

No news here yet. Well, no message from security saying they have a package for me. I've also been on the lookout for a notice from Canada Post saying I have to pick something up at the post office (although that would mean I'd have to pay duty, which would be lousy! :earboy2: I guess it depends how Yankee marks the shipment.)

That's a shame about the tart burner Meriweather. Those things seem to get broken a lot in transit from Yankee. Do they usually not wrap them well? :confused:
 
Actually I have never had anything from Yankee break before. They are usually wrapped VERY well. This time however, it wasn't.
They have always been great about problems or when you are unhappy with them....so we shall see.

I believe the person that ordered for you Beams, is checking on it with Yankee.

I hope we get some news today......guess people do need to get home from work :rolleyes: ;)
 
Well, that's good to know. I've looked at ordering things from them online before, since we don't have any actual YC stores up here. I just wasn't sure things would arrive in one piece.

Keeping my fingers crossed for this week! :D
 
Oh, Nancy! That's too bad! Considering all that's been shipped through this exhange there have been very few broken arrivals.

I hope they take care of it asap - you're right, it should have been shipped immediately since it was their error.

Hope it gets straightened out soon!!
 
Customer service actually called me this afternoon.
Seems people are human and make mistakes :confused: That's customer service. If they expedited all orders with problems they would go broke :confused:
But after talking and talking ;) I will receive a new one by Monday :teeth:

And since I was talking to a real person I asked about the Canadian delivery.....seems unless the sender paid the extra $15.......it will take 6 WEEKS!!! :eek:
Looks like you may have to be very patient Beams. Hope you like holiday scents AFTER Christmas.
Sorry about that.
I guess shipping for ourselves to Canada is the better option.

No arrivals today?? :(

Ah well, I would never expect someone to pay an extra $15. I don't mind waitin'. I'm sure the candle(s) will smell good whenever they get there. In the meantime, I'll just hope that 6 weeks is their very conservative estimate, and it will still be here before Santa. ;)
Glad you got your burner problem worked out Meriweather. Although when they say "if they expedited all orders with problems, they'd go broke", it doesn't fill me with confidence in their shipping! LOL

Yeah, me too!

Bummer about the burner, Nancy. I've had only ONE item arrive broken, and they sent another, and it was broken, so they sent a 3rd, and it was fine. It really wasn't their packing, but the item itself. I felt bad having them send 3, I bought the holder on clearance after C'mas last year, but they were broken :(, and VERY nice about it.

It's good.....but not a favorite.
Smells like cherry candy.....DD likes it a lot :)

We seem to be stuck.....no arrivals today??

All yesterday as I got ready for work I could smell Christmas Eve scent in my new Snowman holder! Hours after it was out my daughter commented on the nice smell in the apt :)
