Holiday Wishes start time

I will be at WDW Sun. 12/08, I see a MVMCP is scheduled for that night and from what I understand the Holiday Wishes fireworks happen on the same nights as MVMCP. I don't have a ticket to MVMCP but I would like to catch the Holiday Wishes fireworks if possible, I have never been to WDW in December so I have never seen them. I have Fantasmic on my Fastpass+ schedule for that night but I'm wondering if I might have time to get over to BLT after Fantasmic to catch Holiday Wishes at TOWL. Anyone know what time the Holiday Wishes Fireworks usually start? I haven't been able to find that bit of information on a schedule anywhere.

Holiday Wishes on MVMCP nights is at 9:30 PM

Assuming you are planning on the 6:30 PM Fantasmic! (and that you are a DVC member), you should have plenty of time to get to the TOTWL after it ends. Fantasmic! lasts about 30 minutes. You can take the bus directly to the Contemporary after Fantasmic!

I've been a DVC member since 2010, I'm saving my points for next year so for this trip I have a cash ressie at PO French Quarter : ) My Fastpass+ schedule says Fantasmic! 7:25pm to 7:45pm but if Holiday Wishes doesn't start until 9:30pm I think I still might have enough time to catch a bus over to The Contemporary before it starts.

OK. I see they added a second Fantasmic! that night for 8 pm. So if you are near an exit to the theater, you should get to the bus stop between 8:45 pm and 9 pm. IMO, that will be cutting it very close. Perhaps you can grab a cab. That will cost about $20 or so, but maybe that's worth it to you.

If it were me, I'd plan on the first Fantasmic! at 6:30pm. FWIW, the FP+ for Fantasmic! is now said to be of almost no value since you don't get in early and they don't have a reserved section for FP+ anymore.

Unless they changed the rules, you will not be allowed to go to the TOWL. I believe you must be staying on points to go.

Just trying to save you a trip to BLT and being turned away. You should confirm before you travel over there.

Disney Vacation Club Members staying at any Disney-owned-and-operated hotel at Walt Disney World Resort (whether they booked with vacation points or cash) may enjoy access to one of the vacation kingdom's most exclusive spaces: Top of the World Lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort through December 29, 2014 (blockout dates apply. Including but not limited to 12/30/13, 12/31/13, 7/3/14, and 7/4/14). Current operating hours are 6 p.m. to midnight.

This perk is available exclusively to Members and those in their traveling party who are staying on that Member's reservation. At least one Member in the traveling party must accompany the group and present his or her current Key to the World card displaying a Disney Vacation Club Membership notation in order to gain admission to the lounge and observation deck. If the Member's Key to the World card doesn't display a Membership notation, a Disney Vacation Club Member ID is required in addition to the Key to the World card to verify Membership.

Note that Members traveling from other Resorts must use Walt Disney World Transportation, as parking is unavailable to anyone not staying at Bay Lake Tower or Disney's Contemporary Resort. Upon arrival, Members must walk to the Bay Lake Tower main lobby entrance on the ground floor and check in at the Top of the World Lounge desk in the lobby.

I think they changed the rules so that DVC members staying at any of the Disney owned resorts can go to TOWL lounge

Trying to get over to the Contemporary after the 8PM Fantasmic! show looks like it would be a hassle and I don't want to rush so I think I'll do what CarolMN suggested and just try to catch the early Fantasmic! show on one of the nights I'm there.

If the park is full they suspend that tower for members staying at BLT , did you know? BUT you can take the monorail to the first stop, get off and you can see the entire show with the music piped in there . you can even hear them BOOM. Its one of our fav vantage points to see them actually.

I went to watch Hallowishes on a night the party was sold out and had no problems getting in to TOTWL.
