We are heading down to DL to see the xmas decorations and of course visit the Mouse.

Thinking of taking the Holiday Tour. What times during the day is it offered and which time is best?

The tour is being offered at 1:00 and 4:15. There is a walking tour through part of the park. You are given headphones to wear. You get to ride HMH and IASW. You get a cookie and hot cocoa and front row seats at the parade.

We are scheduled for the 4:15. That is a better time for us. We have 11:30 PS's that day at Cafe Orleans so we'll have time to go back to the hotel for a rest. Also, it will be getting dark at parade time. That makes it seem more holiday-like to me.

Great. That's what I'm looking for. I've done the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" and it was well done. I've heard great things about this tour - looking forward to taking it.

Do you know where the reserved seating is for the parade? I would like to see it on Main Street but I think I read somewhere that it's down by IASW.

Just want to add that if you are going on the 8th or 9th their is only one tour for the day since the park will close early, the tour is at 1:30.
I haven't taken the tour yet but from what I have heared the seating is near IASW.

I just booked this tour last week. It is $59 per person, but there is a 20% discount if you are an AP holder.

We did this tour two years ago and the parade seating was indeed by IASW. But we really enjoyed it. Having a "chair" to sit on and an unobstructed view of the parade while sipping on hot cocoa made it very special. Well worth the $$, and add to the mix that IASW will have long lines after re-opening next week is another perk. DD & I plan on doing it again this season. Just have to pick a day...

I'm guessing then the tour isn't offered right now, while IASW is getting the holiday treatment?

My sister and I are going Sunday, Nov. 23 on the 4:15 tour. I'm really looking forward to it! I've never done a tour at DL and the holiday one sounds just right for us. You get to learn about the decorations and history of Christmas in the different lands, ride HMH, IASW and I heard also the train? You sing carols, get a peek into the candy shop (with samples!) and the whole thing culminates with nice seats to view the parade, a gingerbread cookie (or treat of some kind) and a cup of cocoa to top it off. Should be fun! I think you might get a commemorative pin, but I'm not sure.

BTW, AAA holders can get the 20% discount as well (which brings the cost to $47.20).

VP can book the tour for you 30 days out and they even called me this morning to let me know they did so. We are going on on 12/12, the 4:15 tour as I wanted to see the Christmas parade in the dark. I am figuring it will be pretty busy on a Friday night so the special seating will be a plus.:santa:

OH! I was hoping your little princesses would be going, too so my DD7 wouldn't be the only kid on our tour! See ya on the 23rd!

I think they put the seats by IASW because it's the end of the parade and if the tour is running a little late, you're in your seats in time

we are taking the tour at 4:15 Friday the 21st..........I am so excited , need some holiday cheer!

Your daughter won't be the only kid on the tour! We'll be going on the 4:15 tour on the 23rd as well, with our three daughters (13, 11 & 5)...should be fun!

ballarinamom, my princesses aren't going on this trip--it's just my sister and me! I'm glad that stagemomto3 will be there with her kids. I'll see you guys on the tour!
