Holiday Tour with baby?

Hello all!

DS will be 9.5 months old when we head to DL in December. We are considering doing the Holiday tour. Has anyone done it with a child that young? We would have him in a baby ergo back carry for the tour and he's a super mellow baby. We think it would be great to have the seating for the parade and it would be fun to do SWH and HMH with other families.

We have always wanted to do the tour and actually booked it once a couple years ago, but it was cancelled that day when it was pouring rain (that whole weekend was very soggy and cold and we ended up catching an early flight home.) So I would really like to do this and would love to hear about some other DISers' experiences with very young children on this tour.

Do it. I took my daughter on the holiday tour in 2009. We had a great time she loved looking at all the people on the tour and I loved the seats for the parade best way to see it. Also walking on the holiday rides is nice not having to wait is a plus for the kid too. Remember to stay in the seats after the tour and you get to see the holiday show on a small world.

What do you mean about staying in the seats after the tour to see the holiday show? (although permanecer sentados por favor comes to mind!). What is this show?

Im planning on taking our then11month old on the tour--can she ride on HM? I can't remember how the cars are but I had been assuming that she wouldn't be able to.

Lurpee- Babies can totally do HMH. Davy did regular HM for the first time at 10 weeks. They allow up to 3 "bodies" in each doom buggy.

AWESOME! Can I pick your brain for the others? I was wondering about Peter Pan, Snow White, and Alice! Maybe Winnie the Pooh and Little Mermaid--I have never been on either of those.

We did the holiday tour last year when DS was 8 months old and in the stroller. (DD5 was also with us). He did just fine. DL was super crowded that day and the stroller wasn't a piece of cake - had to park it for the rides and collapse it for the train (CM's parked it for me actually if I remember correctly) - but it was managable. If you'll have your baby in the Ergo that might work much easier for you. It was very sweet how our tour group was always looking around to make sure I was with them and hadn't fallen behind. DS did ride all the rides with us and he stayed awake for most of the tour. He fell asleep moments before we got on IASW and slept through the parade.
I wouldn't hesitate to take a baby on the tour.

You can bring your baby on all of those rides, exept I'm not sure about Pooh as I've never been on that.

Our tour was at 4:15 it ended at 630 for the parade and then the project christmas stuff on Small world play music and it snows. They do them through out the evening but it was nice to just stay in the seats.

Yes to all you are asking, Pretty much anything without a height requirement is good. Some people have said that astro orbitor and roger rabbits you have to have the baby out of the carrier. Let see if I can quickly list what you can do off the top of my head with the baby in the carrier

We will be doing this toiur for the 4th time in a few eeks. I thought it was weird the late tour is 3:15 instead of 4:15???
Op, your baby will be fine. Pooh should be easy to do with a baby as will Snow White and Pinochio. You should also be able to do Casey Jr...

I wish the Disneyland website was more forthcoming with info on times for the tours. I checked and there is nothing. We want to do it either the 7th or the 8th, but we won't get to the parks until 3ish on the 7th. So if the tour was at 4:15, that would work, but if it's 3:15, we might have to do it on the 8th.

Lurpee- Pooh is very kid friendly. DS went on it a couple weeks ago and he loved it. We seen people take babies on the canoes, but haven't done it ourselves yet. Storybookland canal boats are perfect though. That was Ds' first attraction at 10 weeks old. awww

I took my 9 month old dd on the holiday tour last year and it worked out great. I skipped the stroller and took her in the bjorn, it was much easier than carting the stroller around. I also took her on everything I could and it worked out great. Only thing I would avoid would be Roger Rabbit, they make them sit on the seat and it is not safe. Seems like they would be much safer with you holiding them. I took her again last week, she's now 18 months and it still seems a little iffy.
