we are going back to the world for the week before Easter. I noticed that it said that some of the restaurants, like the buffets and all you can eats, would be adding a holiday surcharge that week. anyone know what the surcharge is? anyone that went over the christmas holidays give me an idea?

thanks!

Our Germany dinner was supposed to be $24.95 but it was raised to $31.95 per adult. I changed to a lunch which was supposed to be $22.95 but was raised to $24.95. I didn't check any of the other resturants but it probably depends on your restuarant and your meal choice. For us, the holiday dinner price was too much. The lunch holiday price was the same as what we were going to pay for the dinner before the surcharge which is why we switched.

so....if we are on the dining plan (not sure if we are adding that yet...we are DVC can add it closer to the date of arrival)....will we be charged a surcharge also????

I've never done the dining plan but I don't think you would be charged for it. that's why people like the dining plan - you can go to more expensive restaurants that you wouldn't normally go to because it's "free". It's kind of like being on a cruise ship and getting your dinner there. If they offer lobster, why not get that because you aren't really paying for it.

We used the dining plan in Dec. and were not charged a surcharge because of the holidays.

If you are on the dining plan it will be included, just plan for your tip to be a bit higher since that is based on the new total.

The sur charge ws added to the bill, but you didn't pay it directly because it was part of the DDP.

No, but since the tip isn't included, you'll be leaving a slightly higher tip.
