Holiday Slide Mount Progress :: SEE RETURN THREAD!!

I totally now remember why I don't make shaker boxes. They steal all of my brain cells! Yikes! I have been working on my birthay boxes for all evening. In the immortal words of my MIL - why do them if they are so much work? They are cute.

ETA: The other birthday slide is done. Very simple (I hope the adhesive holds!! It is quite humid in here...), but coordinates with the other ones.

Just Christmas to go!!

I'll check them when they arrive... and if the adhesive isn't working... I'll re-adhesive them.. that is what I've been trying to do whenever I host...
Shakers are cute..but they can be a real pain too!!!

They are done. PHEW... All three sets. I think I have lost every brain cell. Very one. I've got nothing left. (Of course I have to finish my paper bag albums today while my in laws are still here (babysitting!!!)... We'll see!)

I was hoping to wrap these up today, but I completely forgot that DD has an appt with neurology in the city...late afternoon so we'll be coming home in rush hour! I doubt I'll get them done in time to make the post office on Weds now, so it looks like I'll be mailing on the dealine date after all.

After seeing B&MB's I'm thinking my one Christmas one needs some work. I wish I could find some Stickles! I think that would at least jazz it up.

And I need to settle on something for Valentine's Day. I've done 4 different mock-ups, but don't like any of them!

I may just leave them as is. I only started stressing about these after seeing some of the ohter, more creative ones people have done. In the past, this was one of my elements of choice. The slide, inked, with a die cut over part or most of the hole...maybe some fiber, a brad, Prima, whatever. Now they seem to much more complicated!

I did do a shaker box with the one Christmas one, but I don't really want to do another. Those tiny bags are a pain to make! (I use an old Seal-a-Meal to custom fit the bag for the beads. It works like a charm, but 11 was enough in that size! )

I'm about over the Father's Day ones too.... Something we take for granted because it's a day for DAD's...and it's so hard to design an element for... or of course.. once you finish it.. a "DUH" moment hits! (mine are while I'm driving to the post office... to mail the swap off)
