Holiday Shopping at Universal

Hey, what do you all think? My son is majorly addicted to Spiderman.....Gee, I wonder why!!!! LOL.....

Anyway, he asked Santa to bring him all kinds of Spiderman gear. I told my wife we should just go to IOA and make use of our APH discount at the Spidey shop. We could have a field day there. She thinks it would still be too expensive. What do you all think?

I think we might break even and have fun on some attractions while we do our holiday shopping and have a nice meal at Mythos......

actually I will end up spending more....never mind.....

But seriously, what do you all think? Do you think it would be cost effective as far as his gifts?

Okay here's a better idea...shop for the same items at Walmart and Target, take the $$$ you saved and go have that meal at Mythos!! LOL

This way you can grab a few items that you cant get anywhere else but the parks! Works for me...and I live in NY!! LOL

All I will say is that it works best if you're a FL resident. Moreso if you're within an hour or two of Universal.

SpideyHulk....there is another shop that sells loads of Spiderman - at the Pointe place on ID - you know the really big toy shop. My son loves that shop because it has all the "Star Wars" and "Hulk" stuff too.

Can you shop online? Another thing to watch out for is the great Halloween sales. You may be able to pick him up some really cute dress-up costumes at greatly reduced prices after Halloween.

This is true. In last year's HHN maps, there was a discount coupon for 10% off of a store that would be selling discounted Halloween merchandise. I am not sure if they're running that promo again...
