Holiday Shopping 2011

So exciting a shopping thread! I haven't had much of a chance to do any shopping yet but I did buy a maxi dress online last week. If you search deco maxi dress on the Warehouse website you will see it (not got enough posts to post a link or image yet!)

It's pretty fancy but we are hoping to splash out on a meal at V&A's during our trip, and we also are going on our first cruise! Any guidance on whether this is far too formal or will it be ok? I wear dresses every day so I have a warped judgement on what is appropriate haha!

Everyone's purchases look lovely, will have to get out and start buying once payday comes, I feel new Fit Flops coming on

Starting to get so excited about holiday times... Septemeber can't come fast enough!!!

It's great to see other people starting to buy for their holidays. I popped to Solihull this morning, and the sale racks are getting smaller and the spring/summer range is slowly coming in

I have ordered some things from the Joe Brown's sale which will be great for my potential WDW trip in July and cruise in September.

If so, thats gorgeous and would fit right into V&A and your cruise...based on all the trip reports I've read at least

I wanted to buy some FitFlops in the sale at Boots...but they're all in a size 4 apart from the black ones which I didn't really like

I got the top one in a light-ish purple colour

Both are in a size 12 *** I'm DETERMINED to have reached my goal weight by September! If thats not motivation..I don't know what is

Made some further purchases (just best not tell DF ) from Apricot Got two maxi dresses for £24 total, down from £29 each

I got the top one in a light-ish purple colour

Both are in a size 12 *** I'm DETERMINED to have reached my goal weight by September! If thats not motivation..I don't know what is

Hehe, what a funny coincidence! I've got the 2nd dress you've posted there and had included it as part of the old thread Hehe! I also bought it in purple as well but they don't seem to have that on the website anymore! Haven't even worn either of them yet but hopefully get a chance to on holiday in March!

EDIT: I also like the 1st one as well, just had a look on their website and I quite fancy it in the brown!

Even funnier is that it was YOUR post and pictures in the old thread that pointed me in the direction of Apricot! I'd never heard of them before that! So THANKYOU! Can't wait to receive my dresses The brown did look really nice, can't go wrong with the price atm either!

Yes that's the one! I was stunned at the price and just bought it without thinking what I'd wear it to - trying to justify yet another dress by thinking up times when I will wear it!

I hadn't thought of Boots for Fit Flops - I've got loads of points saved up from Christmas shopping but there's no way I'd be able to squeeze my size 6's into a 4

Lovely dresses ladies! If I tried to wear a maxi dress I'd look like one of the 7 dwarfs! I am too short for them I think!

I'm going to take DS out to the Fort Shopping Park later when I collect him from nursery and have a look in Next and a couple of other shops.

With regard to the fit flops do you all find them comfy and do they all have toe posts? I don't get on well with those

Is there anyone else out there like me, who finds that the only good thing about this time of year, is that the summer clothes are starting to come into the shops

I was thrilled this week to see the start of the Mantaray swimwear coming into Debenhams, and Asda were putting some lovely swimsuits out yesterday

Hehe, oops Tbh, I hadn't really heard of them either but they're one of the brands that bigger New Look stores stock! You'll have seen though on the previous thread that I'd already bought the black dress in NL, then had a snoop online and found Apricot themselves selling it half price. Just checked NL and it's finally in the sale there but at £18, so still cheaper on Apricot's own website!

I got these from tesco for 99p a bottle - I cleared the shelf!

I got these for DS on the plane as one of his little holiday presents

And every year the kids have a new water bottle for in the parks, I got these at Boots today

Yesterday I bought a new park bag which was in the sale, and I'm going to be buying myself a new pair of fit flops soon too!

And I'm currently trying to decide between two pairs of Fit Flops, I'm torn between these:

WHich are the same style as my Mum's yellow ones that I borrowed for the last trip, and were the most comfortable shoe EVER!

Which are really pretty!!! It's tough!! HELP!!

I ordered that top I mentioned on the first page today. I got a £10 off code instore to buy on-line, and I was given a £15 gift card for my birthday, so I won't really have that much to pay when the bill comes in

There was a lot of that brand reduced, the Nivea one was a bit more - but I got that for the first few days because it's a higher factor. It may be hit and miss depending on what stores have got left to get rid of before the new stock comes I suppose - the store I got it from doesn't stock sun creams all round and it was on a clearance end. Worth a trip to see though as I think those squirty bottles are about £7 normally.

Mandy - I love that top, I went into Next today at the Fort but they hadn't got much in there yet, there was still quite a lot of sale stuff.

ETA; I stand corrected its £12 RRP a bottle!!!! Unbelievable!

Lots of lovely summer clothes being bought ladies!!!!

I picked up a top & pair of jeans in the sales today, i'll probably take the top on holiday but the jeans are a size smaller so will be an incentive when I get back!

Victoria i've got those fit flops (the 2nd pair) mine are silver sequins. I am taking them with me in 2 weeks so i'll let you know how it goes!
