Holiday/Seasons Completed Page Swap - Progress Thread - **Mailed**

123SA - Your box arrived. I haven't opened it yet but it was in good condition.

Thanks for checking in, Pretty in Tink/Vicki V.

I'm working on my Halloween page for the Fall Seasons group. I'm doing a very candy oriented layout because I found some really cute paper. The problem is that I am stumped on a title. I don't want to do something like Trick or Treat because I won't be able to use that. I was thinking maybe, "Gimme the Loot" because that could work for other stuff as well.

What do y'all think? Any ideas that might work?

"Show Me The Sweets!"
"1 4 U 2 4 Me"
"Oh Sugar Sugar"

Wow, I really like those suggestions, AWM and MP. Do you think those would be OK to use with non-trick or treat pictures? Like we go to a Halloween party every year and I'm trying to figure out how to make my pages work for that theme within the candy design.

Maybe I should just scratch the candy idea completely and go back to the drawing board. :confused3

We don't trick or treat. We live in the middle of nowhere and I won't drive my kids someplace we don't live just mooch candy off complete strangers. Friend and family, yes - strangers, no.
The kids get plenty of candy at the school parties. So a candy page with any of those titles would work.
Oh, and thanks Michelle. I've got that song stuck in my head. :lmao:

Oooooo, ooooo, ooooo - I just had an ! What about "Sweet Stuff"! That should work for trick-or-treat pics AND random other Halloween stuff - right?

I'm going to start these tomorrow. I need a night off of doing pages..lol..

Opinions need here, please!!

DH suggested Sweet & Scary for the title of the my Halloween layout (all candy decor) but I'm still not sure. He didn't like any of the other ideas. :( :confused3

Holy moly, I am having the hardest time with the sketch for my Christmas group! I've looked at tons of Becky Higgins sketches and haunted PageMaps.com and still didn't find anything I loved.

I'm trying to keep the theme fairly generic so that it is widely versatile. I think I've settled on " 'Tis the Season " for my theme with some gingerbread man decorations. Does that sound OK? Or do you think a gingerbread house would be better? Stretch the Imagination has a cute one that I think would be darling but I didn't know if that would be generic enough for everyone. Thoughts?

Update - I will not get all my protypes posted before I go to the World - I am angeling believen's spots.

A1: Summer - I have supplies but haven't pulled it together yet.

B1: Spring/Summer Holidays -Easter - Prototype posted, sets finished except I can't think of title

C1: Fall/Winter Holidays - Thanksgiving - Prototype posted and sets finished

F1: Halloween - Working on this one. Can't quite get the prototype right.

G1: Winter - prototype posted and sets are completed.

Gingerbread works for me. My MIL has a tree in her kitchen that is gingerbread men/women/house themed. It is the tree she saves for the boys to decorate. Have great pictures for a page with that theme. :thumbsup2

How about Sweet'n'Scary. Like the candy Good'n'Plenty?

If you make a ginderbread page, I will make a point of making a geingerbread house this year and will even post pics.

Alrighty, then. A gingerbread page it is!

And I like that Sweet'n'Scary title. I'm going with it. Thank you!!!!

Susie - I've got you checked in for Monday. Have a great trip!

AWM - Do you need me to pre-check you for Monday also? I couldn't remember when you were leaving.

Oh yes please. I think this is the only other swap I have outstanding other than my own. Oops forgot the rolodex. Better go check in there.

We are leaving here Saturday morning to stay a night at the ILs and then heading to FL early Sunday morning. Arriving back here on the 31st or 1st.

Alrighty! I've got you checked also. We'll all be patient and wait to drool over your purty pages after you come back.

Have a great time!

I think a gingerbread theme sounds great! I'm doing one too ;) I have Stretch the Imagination too, but I don't think I will be using the gingerbread man (making me think run, run as fast as you can-you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man :rotfl2: ) Mine doesn't have a house on it. We have a gingerbread house making party every year. I also wanted mine to be useful for someone that may not like sweets too much. Anyway, I'm sure they will come out nothing alike, so I have no problem with having two sets in the swap.

The good news is that we are in different Christmas groups anyway so that will help with a bit more separation. I am using the gingerbread house from Stretch the Imagination for mine.

Prototypes are due today on the other thread. Hope all are doing well!

welllllllllllllll...I could post a pic of my prototype, but I'd really rather not. I'm completely redoing it. The colors are just not right and I dont feel comfortable submitting it the way it is. SO- vickiv and I are here at my house working on ours right now. Just wanted to post that we are here, we are not quite done, but we will try to have pics up tomorrow. Sorry :(
