Holiday Resort Decorating

I read on here over a month ago... now I can't remember the title and my "Christmas" search ended up a flop!
Anyway, someone said the Grand Floridian has a big Gingerbread house in it somewhere for the holidays, we want to go see that, sounds neat. Someone also mentioned a carousel, gingerbread again I think, in one of the hotels... anyone know which hotel this is? We're thinking of hitting these up on our AK day since it closes early!

Beach Club Resort has the Carousel.

We saw beautiful soaring christmas trees at the GF and AK last year. We stayed at SSR and they had some nice deocrations up as well.

The Grand Floridian and The Wilderness Lodge are both MUST sees at Christmas time. They are decorated beautifully. They actually sell goodies out of the gingerbread house which really is hand made. They also have a beautiful huge tree and garland. The WL has trees and lights and just lots of beautiful holiday decorations. I warn you, though, after you have seen these during the holidays, you will become addicted to this time of the year.

Well I remember the lifesize Carousel at the Grand Floridian... don't know if it is still there, but used to be... in front of the 1812 restaraunt.

The Polynesian has a great display! loved the Bartender last year in the hut with the Jack Daniel's bottle.

The Boardwalk is just gorgeous! and they also have a beautiful display with hidden Mickey's ... they tell you how many there are so to challenge anyone to find them all. You'll find lots of folks helping each other out looking for them! Beach Club used to have an Ariel fountain tree .. saw that about 10 years ago, but still a beach theme in recent years.

Wilderness Lodge is great as well! great gingerbread designs... seems about every other year there is a great display... not a great one last year so maybe this year will be the good year! Go peak... and try a rocker in front of the great fireplace!

Last year Contemporary had a neat display albeit hidden out of the way.... had to really search for it.

Looking at the displays is always a favorite of my children and me. The chef's usually compete in contests for the best display... last year not as many participated.
