I was in disneyworld.com yesterday and entered in dates for a resort only reservation at Port Orleans-Riverside for a standard room. The date I entered was March 21 and it listed the cost of the room (not including tax) as 184.00. Now, according to Disney's room rates for 2004, that is the price listed for Holiday season which is Dec 20 - Dec 31.

What is up with that? The rate should be only $144 as it's during Regular season.

Anyone else notice this?

March 21 is not regular season its peak season. Rate should be 169.00. Still doesn't make sense why holiday rates came up.

Maybe it gave you the wrong year by mistake? That's Easter Week of 2005.

it is peak season - but the system is still wrong it should be $169 I do believe that the rates on the internet include tax - with tax it is $188 ($187.59) but when I did it - the system calculated $189.82 - I think that the tax is still 11% - so I am sure what is happening.

also make sure you turn the vacation protection plan off.

here is a copy on the rates

Yes, you're right, my mistake. It is during Peak Season. I did click off the vacation protection, but I will check again just to see. But I believe the year was correct. Hmm.

Thanks again for helping me out.

Tax is 11.5 % at resorts except All-Star where it is 12%. They are in a different county then the others.

Disney's rack rate for March 21, 2004 at POR is $169 for a garden view and $194 for a waterview or king room. Both prices are before the 11.5% tax. It is Peak Season.

The Holiday Rates are $184 and $209.
