Holiday pricing?

IS there extra holiday pricing around Easter? We have some ADR's the week of April 10th and was wondering if holidya pricing was in effect then or not. Could not find any info on AllEars, so thought my friends here might know!

Yes, at all buffets and fixed-price restaurants.

Disney no longer announces exact dates for the seasonal pricing at fixed price restaurants - but they still do it.

Easter is April 24. You may be there before they start charging the seasonal prices. But because Disney doesn't announce the dates anymore, can't tell for sure. Previously, when they did announce the dates, it was for the week preceding Easter and some days after.

As Nala said, they don't formally announce it, but I got this from All Ears and WDW Info, and confirmed with Disney in January, as we always travel during peak/holiday hours:

February 17-26, 2011
March 11 - April 30, 2011
June 3 - August 13, 2011
December 21-31, 2011

You will be subject to holiday pricing as it started on Friday, March 11th - we arrived on Saturday, March 12th and holiday prices are in effect until end of April.

Disney adds more weeks to their holiday pricing each year, and the prices of meals are higher and higher. I spent 1 hour on phone with Disney at beginning of January to confirm all buffet prices, and despite this, Disney still raised prices within the past few weeks. I just walked by Crystal Palace a few days ago, and dinner is up to $40.99/adult + tax and tip! That means that it's close to $50.00/adult to dine there during peak/holiday season. Disney's way of encouraging people to purchase the DP.

Wow! Those prices are incredible! There are 4 of us and I will be cancelling our ADR for Akershus for breakfast. That's just too much money for breakfast, for sure, $160.00 plus tip!. I also have an ADR for lunch at CP, which is now over $30.00 pp, so I am considering cancelling that one, too. The only one I think I will keep is our ADR for lunch at LeCellier. I'm glad with are in a DVC villa, so I will be cooking an awful lot, and I can buy an awful lot of groceries at Publix for the price of cancelling those 2 meals. Even with the TIW card, once you add in the automatic tip, it is still way too expensive. Disney loses my money ... bad for them, good for me.

The buffet prices during peak season are outrageous, but the restaurants are packed as I have to imagine most people have the DP. We were the only ones around us who had a TIW card, and the servers all seemed grateful for that.

We spent less on groceries for the entire week for lunch, dinner and snacks, then 1 character meal would cost us, and I have 2 kids under age 9. Families that have Disney 'adults' are looking at seriously huge food costs.
