In general, how much do prices go up for "holiday pricing?" I tried to search, because I know I read this somewhere, but couldn't find it:confused3

Last year, our Biergarden dinner price went up about $5. Which was more than what we wanted to pay so I looked at the holiday pricing for lunch and that was exactly what we would have paid for dinner before the holiday price. I changed dinner to lunch. That might be a good guideline if the buffet offers both lunch and dinner. Take the difference in normal pricing.

I think our Hollywood and Vine meal went up $5 also. Thankfully it was the only meal where we were "stung" by holiday pricing.

The average last year was $5, there were a few that "only" went up $3. The Holiday surcharge only applies to buffets & family served meals.

When does the Christmas holiday pricing come into effect? Is it just for meals on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve or do they start it on a certain date for the duration of the holidays?:goodvibes

I though I've read that it is $4 per Adult meal and $2 per Child meal.

Keep in mind that this for character meals and many buffets. Meals like say Coral Reef wouldn't have this hike as you are ordering off the menu.

It's more like this "holiday/peak" increase is implemented only for buffets and family-style all you can eat meals. All character meals are either buffets or served family style, so it includes character meals.

Restaurants with a la carte ordering won't have this particular increase added.

I think it starts quite early - like from the 20th December?

As they sat Christmas gets earlier each year :(

Just another way to get our $$$

it will probably be in effect all of Thanksgiving week, and last year it started around December 16th and went until after the New Year.

I think I saw that last year the increase started on Dec. 16. I made our ADR for 1900 Park Fare dinner on the 14th with fingers crossed!
