I had no idea, thanks for the link. When I first saw this today, I was puzzled. I didn't know that Muslims had a December holiday, and since it is shaped like a tree, I thought....Christmas? Huh?

What was really strange was when I asked what it was, the postal employee got all bent out of shape and said that he refuses to sell them (he can do that?) and that people are getting mad when they see them....?

I knew there had to be more to it than that. Now if someone would just educate the man behind the counter....Thanks again for the info!

They have Mary, snowmen, and soon will have antique holiday ornaments. Those are the ones I am waiting for to be released next week.

They are not Christmas stamps. They commemorate two Islamic holidays. So, if you don't celebrate the holidays, then they wouldn't be for you.

As for the postal employee, that's outrageous! Does he refuse service to Islamic people as well?

No they are not Christmas stamps, I said holiday stamps. They are right there on the poster with Mary, Santa, Snowmen and Kwanzza. It is strange to me that they chose to put the words in the shape of a "traditional" Christmas tree..Oh well, no one asked me..

I think the postal employee was talking to me as one "white person" to another. I thought it was totally inappropriate, too...

Let's just say that they don't sell well! Though I did sell one page to a customer of mine this week, but she is a collector (a ding-y one, but hey it's her album).
