I brought DD and a few of her friends to EDAVILLE USA this weekend and it's better this year than last year. They now have over 6 million lights out on the 5 mile train ride. We had a great time and the kids really loved it.

However, as we were leaving (at about 6:30) the lines were just incredible at that point. I recommend going right when it opens at 2. There was almost no one there until about 4:30.

We got to do about every ride at least three times (and the old tilt-a-whirl -- a.k.a. the hurl-a-whirl -- 4 times), see Santa and listen to him read The Polar Express, have hot chocolate and snacks, and look at all the little display huts before boarding the train at dusk. We saw a the end of a beautiful sunset over the bogs and it was dark before we hit pirates cove. Our train car also had some fun passengers and we did a sing-along on the train to the holiday music they pipe in.

A great time -- especially with snow on the ground. Really made you feel festive.

I LOVE Edaville!!! I think we are going to try for next weekend.

Thanks for the tips on timing.

I love Edaville!

I'm still not decided between heading to Edaville, or to LaSalette.
Lasalette is closer and has those wicked good meat pies :D

Thanks. We've only been down there during the summer. Perhaps we'll give it a shot this month:) .........

I think we're going to go Friday night after work.

Fortunately, I can park at my cousin's house and walk:)
