Hello!

I come from Austria and I plan a trip with a friend mid may. He works at an InterContinental Hotel in Europe and so we will get a special staff rate also for Holiday Inn (partner hotel).

Which “Holiday Inn” would you recommend me? There are so many in Orlando and I don’t know which one.

One important reason is of course if we rent a car in Orlando or we go around by public transport.

If we rent-a-car the Holiday Inn could be a few miles away from the parks, if we go by public transport the hotel should be very closed to Disney or Universal (best would be closed to both! :D)

Do you have experience with transfer from “holiday inns” to the parks? When do transfer start in the morning until evening? And how is breakfast like?

Please excuse my English is not perfect.
Thank you very much!

best rgds,
Christian :wizard:

the holiday inn lbv brought out the Marriott - it is own WDW property - so it has reasonable transportation

it is as close to WDW as you can get.

US/IOA is not close to WDW - they around 15 miles apart. WDW is in Lake buena Vista - US/IOA is in Orlando.

however I think this holiday inn might have transportation to the us/ioa - call them to be sure. Also ask if you should get your ticket before hand - sometimes the bus driver can give you a better deal on the ticket.

@spiceycat: thanks for your answer. what do you mean with: Also ask if you should get your ticket before hand - sometimes the bus driver can give you a better deal on the ticket.

what means "before hand"...? Do you mean the WDW-Entrance Park-tickets or the bus tickets to US/IOA?

the tickets to us/ioa - sometimes the tickets that is sold by the drivers is all you have to pay - sometimes the bus is included.

ask at the hotel

so if you get your ticket before hand - you might end up paying more - because then you have to also pay for the bus - $20?

So, maybe it's better for me not to buy the Flex-Ticket at home but ask at the Holiday Inn or the bus driver for a Flex Ticket incl. bus? Right?

if you are only going to US/IOA - the flex tickets is not a good buy - they had a pay for 2 days get 5 - not too long ago - which is a good deal.

now if you are getting a rental car - get everything before hand - without a rental car I wouldn't get the flex tickets - too much stuff you can't do.

especially if you main park is WDW.
