Holiday Inn Resort Internatinal Drive anyone stayed there ?

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Resort on International Drive for two weeks in August, has anyone stayed there, what is it like, are the rooms that overlook the pool in the tower block ? any info about this hotel would be great.

My son and I stayed there in September 2000 for three days. It is an older property but still nice. Their customer service is great and I enjoyed my stay there.

I liked the fact that they had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Their room service was very good also. Best part, they were walking distance from so many stores on Intl Drive. I like that, but my son liked the fact that it was walking distance from a Chuck E Cheese...

Stayed there 3 times. Twice in the tower and once in the non-tower rooms.
The tower rooms do not overlook the pool. The other rooms are closer to the pool.
I liked this property. I felt the tower rooms are a tad nicer, not really much difference though. If your using the pool a lot, then the tower won't be as convenient. Pool has a cool little waterfall in it, and it was always full of people when I was in it.

I stayed there 2 years ago in the tower and it was great, they were beginning to remodel so i'm sure it has only got better, you can see the pool from the tower but not very well, but your only a minute walk from the pool, so staying in the tower is worth it. This hotel had everything we needed and was central for everything. I did stay
at HIFS this year and it is a great place to stay and so kid friendly, I can't see me staying anywhere other then
HIFS.

I stayed here also a few years ago and thought it was a good hotel for the money. Nice selection of food in their little food court and other restraunts ... nice little bar ...

One note, go to the Holiday Inn website and sign up for Priority Club ... they actually have benefits at this hotel for being a member, including 10% off all food purchases for showing them your Priority Club room key (which is different than the standard room key).

Stayed here last year in the tower. Excellent location.

Pool area was great, rooms nice.

You can't go too far wrong here!
