When I booked our room there was an early check-in option for $25. It says you may be able to check in at 12:00. I'm assuming you won't be charged, if you can't check in early. We'll be checking in the Saturday before Easter Sunday, so that may affect our chances. Anyway, is this worth the money? Would we be able to check in early, if rooms are ready, whether we pay the fee or not? Most hotels will let you go ahead & check in, if rooms are ready. Is this the case for HIDS? I'm wondering if this would be a waste of money or not. We would like to check in as early as possible. TIA for any help you can offer. :)

Check the "fine print" on the offer. In theory, you shouldn't get charged if you can't check-in early. But, the offer should state that in the terms.

That said, I've stayed at the Holiday Inn at Disney Springs. It was a great experience. For the 3 days I was there, literally every hotel employee I passed offered a smile and a greeting. I even had a manager approach me in the lobby and ask if everything about my stay was satisfactory.

On that stay, I actually checked in early. It was around 11am. As rooms were available, I was checked-in immediately (for no extra charge).

I was there on a quiet week. On a busy weekend, I would imagine they would "hold" the first available room for someone willing to pay the $25 fee. By that I mean, if there is only one vacant room and I arrive before you and want to check-in early, I wouldn't get that room because they are holding if for your arrival. (That's just a guess, though.)

That's what I figured. It would be nice to check in early without the charge, but I'm thinking chances are slim for that on Easter weekend. If we can check in, when we get there, it will be worth $25. I booked this hotel on your recommendation, btw. It better be nice. :p

PS: From what I've read, it appears the parking fee is $10. Do you know, if that's correct?

Yikes! I hope all goes well. However, I know other folks on here have said good things about the hotel. We can't all be wrong, right?

I've never parked a car at the Holiday Inn Disney Springs. According to their official website, self parking is $12/night and valet is $18/night. The hotel is quite compact, which means it's not a long walk from the self-parking areas. As such, I'd choose self parking.

Actually, as I was at their website, I checked rates for a possible upcoming trip. I noticed that they did have an option to add self parking to a rate for $10/night. Looks like if you do that in advance, it's $2 less.

If you booked a rate that is refundable, you might want to visit the website for the Disney Springs Hotels. They have several different packages, including one that includes parking. Since you're going at a busy time, they might not be offering those discounted packages. Still, it might be worth checking.

This is the link to the Holiday Inn page: http://disneyspringshotels.com/hotels/holiday-inn-orlando-disney-springs-area/

To get to the packages, scroll down until you see the secondary menu bar under the picture. Click on "Special Offers & Packages". (Note: Don't click on the "Special Offers" link at the top of the page. You can't see all the packages off of that link.)

Thanks for the info. We got what appears to be a great rate for the date from Mousesavers. Not having to pay a resort fee at this hotel makes it an even better deal. As you saw, the more expensive rates had an option to add parking for $10. That's where I got the $10 from. I went to the official site, where I booked, to see if I could add parking to our reservation. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to do that. Oh well, we saved a lot more than $2 with the Mousesavers code. The same goes for adding breakfast. We could have gotten a breakfast discount with some rates, which we seriously considered. After I added everything up, using the code was still cheaper. We'll just pay for breakfast at the hotel or at DS & not be tied to eating what the package included.

All that said, we do have a rate that can be canceled. I'll price out the offers on the DS site to see if I can find a better deal.
