Holiday Inn Main Gate to Universal Question

I hope this is the right board to post this question on.

Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Main Gate on Kirkman Road? I have not seen much good about this hotel on the reviews so I was wondering if anyone has actually stayed there recently would like to share their own opinion. We are staying there just one night, the night before we check into the RPH for three nights.

We stayed for a 5 days in Sept 2003 & had no problems with the hotel..The pool was heated & the rooms were clean.. we would have gone back this year( as we are returning to universal this Aug) but we got a better deal through AAA @ Embassy Suites. I can answer specific questions if u have any.

I stayed there a couple of years ago before staying onsite and it was fine. The TGI Fridays in the parking lot is great. I would stay there again.
