We have stayed there about 3 times over the past several years. We love to stay on-site, but with 6 of us, unless All-Stars really discounts their rooms, we have to go off-site to afford the trip.
Personally, I had no complaints about HIMGE. It was clean, daily dependable maid service, adequate pools that were never crowded, free meals for the kids. Front desk service was nothing to write home about, but this is what I have come to expect from non-Disney hotels no matter where I go anymore. Not rude by any means though. They have Little Ceasars, and a small store for necessities, plus a gift shop, and a sit-down restaurant. There's a stoplight right at the entrance, which makes it really easy to get back on the highway. The decor is a little dated, but not worn. They also have on-site laundry if you need it.
Would not hesitate to stay there again, and are looking at them even as we speak for a possible May 2004 trip.
