Holiday Inn International

My family and I have just booked at the Holiday Inn International on I-Drive. Has anyone else stayed there ? What is it like ?

Virgin have it as a flagship hotel.

Thanks for any advice.

Ooo this must be new that it's a Virgin flag-ship. IMHO it's a grat hotel. You'll find there are different schools on these boards as to whether they like staying in the tower or in the blocks. I've stayed in both and they're both great. The Tower rooms were bigger

It's in a great location - you can walk to Wet 'n' Wild. Trolley ride stops just outside the hotel. Also Ponderrosa and Sizzler's within in Walking distance and best of all an Olive Garden restaurant down the way.

The reception staff are really friendly and the pool is great - I'd recommend.

Stayed there for the second time last week. Very good hotel, prefer the Tower rooms though - they are larger and furnished nicer. Pool area is excellent. Bar is friendly - Jon the head barman is a really nice chap. Didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on food. The Olive Garden that Fantasia Sam mentioned has closed but they have opened a superb huge branch further on down I-Drive - the angel hair and meatballs were fantastic! The IHOP close to the Sand Lake Road junction is really good for breakfast as well.

I have also booked this Hotel for next October, got an excellent deal with virgin (worked out £529 per adult) for next October. Went for a look around the hotel when there in July and looks very nice. I think we have made a good choice

Stayed here in '98, in the block next to the pool and thought it was great. Everything you need i.e. safe, microwave,fridge is standard and a good location too.
Lot's of things to do nearby and plenty of good resturants around the area.
