Need a distraction from all the ADR talk :rotfl: so looking for our airport hotel. We usually stay at Hilton (Edinburgh airport) and Radisson SAS at Manchester.
This year I got direct flights out of Glasgow :woohoo:. Just wondering if anyone on here has stayed at the airport Holiday Inn (not the Express - there are two there).

I prefer to leave from a hotel than from home for the flights. No stressing about traffic, the "Did I lock the door" for the 100th time ...

Hello,

Not stayed at the Glasgow one, but have quite a few others, liked them all except one (which was just ok and did the job) - should be fine ... also they do have an offer on their website at the moment for one night bed and breakfast but not sure how far in advance you can book. :goodvibes

Thanks. Haven't done Holiday Inn for some years now. It really is just to "do the job". It also contains things a bit for me on departure day by removing the "Did I remember to ..." factor from the equation. :rotfl: And the house stays clean after breakfast without us being there!:rotfl2:

I saw the offer. Seems to be open to booking now. Last year I got a good price by pre booking and paying online for the Hilton for my parents on the non refundable non changeable rate. Will try this again but just want to make sure we don't end up anywhere dodgy...:lmao:

No, but the holiday inn express has always been great and there is a covered 2 min walk way to the terminal.

we stayed there in december and it was fab. The airport is right on the hotel doorstep, and it was recommended to us over the Holiday Inn Express. Rooms were spotless and the staff at the hotel were very helpful. The lounge area was really smart and the food looked great (we had eated before we arrived doh....) we are looking to stay again for our trip in June. If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask xxx

Excellent! That settles it then: I am booking! I like the idea of being able to walk across too. I just needed some first hand info from someone who had been. Being Scottish gives you extra credibility on this one :rotfl2: Thank you!

We have paid £44 non refundable today for one room including breakfast at the holiday inn bristol airport for end july which I think is brilliant price through the promotional offer:goodvibes

Oh thank you both of you. Thanks for the link Eeyorefanuk. :goodvibes

Maves Wife, are you still here? Please come back. I forgot to ask if they had a bath or only showers. No biggie - but I do like a glass of wine in a hot, very ridiculously deep, bubble bath ....

We stayed at one of them last year but I think it was the express coz we did have to get a shuttle over to the main building though it was no hassle at all - we'd definitely use that again.

Flying from Manchester though this year so it'll be a different stayover hotel!

That is very good. Including breakfast?! How many people?

I need to get two rooms as my parents will drive us through and they will want to be there when I tell DD we are going to Disney! (Parents don't know yet either)

Well my mum knows I am planning and that I don't want anything discussed. I will be telling her shortly as she is GREAT with a secret. My dad on the other hand, bless him, is the most enthusiastic person you could imagine and just can’t resist telling someone … anyone ….! The trouble is, word spreads and although it wasn’t his fault last time, the surprise was ruined when someone told someone who told … and said something in front of their kids who mentioned to DD at school. :headache:

So, for all intended purposes, I am going to Spain to see my friend there who has been inviting us for ages. (I do really have a friend there so not too suspicious). :rolleyes1

I suppose it is a bit unfair of me, but if I want to keep a secret I have learned that it starts by me keeping it! :lmao:

Your secret sounds great and the Holiday Inn is great at Glasgow Airport.
Remember Holiday Inns usually have a kids eat free deal on (the airport ones may not???). I use them all the time when I can.....:thumbsup2

Oh that sounds great. I didn't know about that. I will check it out. :goodvibes
