Holiday Inn Express--Cocoa Beach--anyone stayed there?

I think it is on Atlantic Ave. or something like that. It said on the web site that they are only 1 mile from the port. I emailed them to ask them how much a cab would be to the port and they said they said we could take a shuttle for $3.00 each. I think a cab would be cheaper for 3 people going just one mile. Any info would be great.

Our family stayed there in Jan 04 and it was very nice. Rooms were clean and friendly staff along with a very good free breakfast. Also there are a few places to eat very close to the hotel. As far as a cab I have no idea on the price. We rented a car, but I think the port is about 5 miles away so a cab will cost the same or more I would think. Holiday Inn Express is right in front of me on Atantic Avenue - you have Durango's Steak House, Perkins Restaurant and its one block East from the Cocoa Beach Pier and the ocean - a Publix is being built right next door with a strip mall - in fact you walk out of the hotel - turn North - walk 1000 feet and there you are - the only problem it is right on A1A, but I have seen the inside and it looks real nice - they do offer a continental breakfast which I have seen and have tasted and it is great - you are about 3 miles North of the port -
