Holiday Inn Express - Clermont??

I'm flying in very late our first night & I reserved a free room (Priority Club points) at the Holiday Inn Express in Clermont FL... Does anyone know ANYTHING about this property...we'll barely be there 8 hours but there is nothing worse that a GROSS hotel room!

This should be fine for one night...I will be, however a good long trip from the airport, and no really easy toll roads or interstates...

Free is good, but for $23 to $25 bucks on Priceline you can get a nice place close to Disney and 1/3 the drive....

FYI there is a really nice HI Express at the intersection of I-4 and hwy 27 that we have used several times and really enjoyed it...I wonder if they would swap?

Thanks - we are actually flying into Tampa, DH wanted to be closer to WDW when we woke up instead of staying in Tampa & driving in the next morning. Is it inconvenient from I-4, it didn't appear to be on the map??

This was the only HI even near WDW that I could get for 10000 PC points... & they won't change reservations, you have to cancel & re-book

I did consider Priceline but I had a BAD experience with one of there 3* hotels 3 years ago when we drove down to WDW. Call me jaded!

If that is the HI Exp at the Summer Bay Resort, I have read that it is very nice.

EDIT: I looked on the HI Express website, and it is the one at Summer Bay. From I4 you can take the Hwy 27 exit up to 192 and turn right.

I have seen people post her about paying $130/night here. It is VERY nice for free!

BTW - What will be the easiest way to get to Contemporary from there?

To the Contemporary...take I-27 south to 192. 192 east to Disney and follow signs to Magic Kingdom...Go to the far right ticket booth and tell them you are going to the Contemporary..The cast member will direct you to the right lane and you are on your way...
For easiet route from Tampa to Clermont this is what came up on Yahoo.

I also needed a one night stay and stayed at this Holiday Inn. It is located right on the Summer Bay Resort property right off 192. This is a decent hotel and nice location.

To avoid 192 traffic to get to Disney---go down 192 and turn LEFT onto Black lake Road, this will curve a bit and take you to Sherberth Road, turn LEFT onto Sherberth Road and you will come to a light (you are now on Disney property--the Animal Kingdom Lodge is to the LEFT). Turn RIGHT at the light and follow the signs to wherever you are going.

If you miss Black lake Road you can still turn LEFT onto Sherberth Road a bit further down 192.
