Has anyone recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown Disney? How was your stay? We're thinking about spending a night there in December. The rate I have is $119 plus tax, which doesn't sound too terribly bad for a room over the holiday. Have they competed room renovations yet? Also, it looks like there is an annex section beside the tower, is there a difference in price between these two sections? And, are rollaway beds available? If so, any idea if they have an extra charge?

Thanks! ;)

Cali--I can't give you any direct information BUT you can usually get a resort with PL for less than that.

The tower rooms in the Hotel Royal are supposed to be nicer than the Holiday Inn. You might check the mousesavers and travelzoo rates and see what rates you can get.

We stayed there last June when it was the Courtyard Marriott. I stayed there free with Marriott rewards and it was well worth the money spent ;) . We thought this was a nice, non-Disney option. The room was big. We had a balcony that overlooked the pool and it had 2 chairs and a table on it. They seemed to be doing some tilework in the back hallway on the main floor and had "caution" tape up, but it didn't really bother us. The pool was a nice, typical hotel pool. Not really themed. My girls loved it though because they just like to swim and don't appreciate the theming too much.

I would stay here again if I could get a rate around $70 or less. I think your price is a little high and you may be disappointed in the quality/$$ . I think maybe you can get the AAA rate lower than that. I also remember that someone called the hotel and asked if they were going to continue the traditional $20.04 rate they had been giving the past few years when it was Courtyard. They said No, but to watch travelzoo.com as they were going to have deals on there. So you may want to check that out. This hotel has also appeared on hotwire.com so you might want to keep that in mind too. Check out betterbidding.com to see which "hotel amenities" to look for to pick out the Holiday Inn.
